Plot to a device and examine the plot?
Hi You could also look at dev.capture(), depending on which screen device you are using. printCoefmat() and zap.ind
Hi All, I would like to ask two questions about printCoefmat(). First, I found a behavior of printCoefmat() that looks strange to me, but I am not sure whether this is an intended behavior: ``` r set.seed(5689417) n <- 10000 x1 <- rnorm(n) x2 <- rnorm(n) y <- .5 * x1 + .6 * x2 + rnorm(n, -0.0002366, .2) dat <- data.frame(x1, x2, y) out <- lm(y ~ x1 + x2, dat) out_summary <-

The argument 'eps.Pvalue' of `printCoefmat()`
Hi all, Just a minor issue that I am not sure whether this is considered a "bug." It is about the help page. In the help page of printCoefmat(), for the argument 'eps.Pvalue', the description is as below: number, .. I have to read the source to figure out that this argument is to be used by format.pval(). Maybe the description of 'eps.Pvalue' can be revised to refer

barplot and pca plot in mvpart/rpart
Hello, I'm using the R package called mvpart, which is about the multivariate regression trees. The function I wrote is: mrt1<- mvpart(coefmat~sChip+sScreen+sMem,data=mixdata, xv="pick", plot.add=TRUE,uniform=TRUE,which=4,all=TRUE,xadj=2,yadj=2,rsq=TRUE,big.pts=TRUE,wgt.ave.pca=TRUE,legend=TRUE,bars=F, pca=TRUE) where "coefmat" is a matrix(of dimension N*K) to store

using FAI and XEN?
Is anyone using FAI <http://www.informatik.uni-koeln.de/fai/> to install DomU''s? Our infrastructure is based heavily on using FAI for reproducing server configs so consolidating servers would go much nicer if if we could build the DomU''s with FAI. I''ve not put too much effort into solving my problems yet as I hope someone else ahs solved them for me :) The DomU

lattice library: xyplot and polygons
Dear R-Helpers, Is there a way to draw shaded (filled) polygons in panel graphs produced by xyplot ? I made different trials (see below) with polygon() and grid.polygon() but polygons are not drawn (probably for the same reason that prevents the use of lines, points, etc. in xyplot panels). Thanks in advance, Renaud > Water id label longitude latitude 515 21 Zone inondable

Using 'polygon' in a 3d plot
I'm new to R, after many years of using Matlab. I've found the R function 'polygon' to be nearly equivalent to the Matlab function 'patch'. For example, the R commands: plot(c(0, 5), c(0, 4), type = 'n', asp = 1, ann = FALSE) x <- c(1, 2, 2, 1.5, 1) z <- c(1, 1, 2, 1.7, 2) polygon(x, z, col = 'green') produce a plot with a small green shape exactly

random location in polygons sp spsample splancs csr
Dear all, I had to place points at random, one in each of larger number of polygons (actually in objects of class 'SpatialPolygonsDataFrame' , see sp library), and tried first to do it using spsample (from sp). Surprisingly, every 5-15 trials, the output was a NULL value. The doc says that ' this may occur when trying to hit a small and awkwardly shaped polygon in a large
