ChaCha20 Rekey Frequency
I'm wondering why the ChaCha20 cipher rekeys so frequently. At speed I'm seeing rekeys every second or two. So I'm spending a large amount of time in the rekey process. From what I've read about ChaCha20 it shouldn't need to be rekeyed quite so frequently. Am I missing something obvious? Just curious more than anything else. Chris

I'm hardly an expert on this, but if I remember correctly, the rekey rate for good security is mostly dependent on the cipher block size. In the u2f protocol, my understanding is in the normal case, the web browser seeds the keypair process with the hostname of the remote server. In the case of ssh, the hostname is probably not what I would want to do. But the u2f protocol seems to have a way to handle this. It just needs to be exposed to the user. The content of the private keyfile in ssh is generated somehow. Where is that done?

Incomplete attestation data for FIDO2 SKs?

Inconsistent none cipher behavior

File Offsets for SCP (patch)
I don't know if anyone would be interested in this but I'm including a patch to allow for offsets when transferring files with SCP. It's pretty simple and assumes the user knows what they are doing (for example, if transferring with a wild card the offset would apply to all files). -A is the number of bytes offset from the beginning of the files. -Z is the number of bytes inset

1.2.0: Test suite failures on LP64 archs?
Running the basic (--disable-thorough-tests) test suite, I get these failures round-trip test (rt-1-24-111.raw) encode... Segmentation fault (core dumped) ERROR FAIL: ./test_flac.sh fsd24-01 (--channels=1 --bps=24 -0 -l 16 --lax -m -e -p): encode...ERROR during encode of fsd24-01 FAIL: ./test_streams.sh on alpha and amd64. Building libsk-libfido2.so?
