Help with at Bash script
I am attempting to get a script borrowed from DJB to work on my CentOS-6.6 box. Simplified it looks like this: tcpdump -l -n -e port 53 \ | awk '{if ($14 ~ /A.*?/) print $15}' \ | while read domain ; do echo $domain ; done ; The sticking point is the 'while read' construct. Run just as 'tcpdum | awk' I get this: english.stackexchange.com. www.urbandictionary.com.

Google Ajax Search API - UTF-8 encoded response
Hello All, I am writing a facebook application in ruby on rails, which requires google search in one page. I''ve implemented this using a simple RESTful interface as follows: url = URI.parse( "http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/services/search/ local?v=1.0&q="+params[:keyword] ) req = Net::HTTP::Get.new(url.path+"?"+url.query) res = Net::HTTP.start(url.host,

RFC: changing variable naming rules in LLVM codebase
Hi folks, Git is on its way to learning how to ignore commits, allowing us to do variable renaming and other small refactorings without breaking git blame. It's like git-hyper-blame [1] but significantly more powerful as it uses fuzzy matching to match lines, including lines that may have been split or joined. A preview release of Git with this new feature is at:

RFC: XRay -- A Function Call Tracing System
TL;DR: At Google we use a call tracing system called XRay which inserts patchable instrumentation points into function entries and exits. If the community is interested, we'd like to contribute this system to the LLVM project. Many more details are contained in the whitepaper at: https://storage.googleapis.com/xray-downloads/whitepaper/XRayAFunctionCallTracingSystem.pdf Who's

[RFC] Removing debug locations from ConstantSDNodes
Some time ago I saw a report of strange single-stepping behavior given Swift code that looks like this: 1| var input = [16, 14, 10, 9, 8, 7, 4, 3, 2, 1] //< Only number 1 is relevant. 2| print("start") TL;DR: The debugger steps from line 2 -> 1 -> 2 in this code example. One clean way to fix this bug is to remove debug locations from ConstantSDNodes, and I'm asking if

RFC: changing variable naming rules in LLVM codebase
This thread is not active for a while, but I'm still interested in seeing a change. Reading through this thread, looks like we can agree that we want to change the local variable naming scheme so that they start with a lowercase letter. Besides that, there were discussions about lower_case, camelCase, m_ prefix, and each argument seems as convincing as others. I'm not sure what is the
