using veritas dmp with ZFS (but not vxvm)
We have some HDS storage that isn''t supported by mpxio, so we have to use veritas dmp to get multipathing.
Whats the recommended way to use DMP storage with ZFS. I want to use DMP but get at the multipathed virtual luns at as low a level as possible to avoid using vxvm as much as possible.
I figure theres no point in having overhead from 2 volume manages if we can avoid it.

ZFS panic when trying to import pool
I have a raid-z zfs filesystem with 3 disks. The disk was starting have read and write errors.
The disks was so bad that I started to have trans_err. The server lock up and the server was reset. Then now when trying to import the pool the system panic.
I installed the last Recommend on my Solaris U3 and also install the last Kernel patch (120011-14).
But still when trying to do zpool import

gtkmm-2.4 for Eiciel?
Hi everyone,
I'd like a nice frontend to setfacl and getfacl. I'm getting lost with
those ACL commands. I've found Eiciel which is a nice gnome frontend to
setup ACLs. The problem is it need gtkmm-2.4, and centos seems to have
gtkmm-2.0 only.
Is there a safe way to upgrade? Do you have a repo to suggest? Or
anyone knows of another graphical ACL editor with more conservative

I'm trying to use libvirt as a non-root user to obtain statistics on the
CPU usage by VMs using the Python API. I'm performing basically the
following steps:

IBM SDD(Subsystem Device Driver) with Xen
Hi,
I know that IBM SDD(Subsystem Device Driver) for linux are all for
kernel version 2.6.9 or lower - for RHEL4 or less, SLES9 or less
I installed IBMsdd rpm, but failed to command "sdd start". I use
XenExpress version (xen-3.0.4 version) with 2.6.16 kernel.
My questions are
1. Is there anyone who use IBM SDD module with the dom0''s 2.6.16

Reading Version 4 .sdd files
Dear R-Help,
I've never had any trouble importing data into R until I had to import
an .sdd file for a class. The file can be found here:

VPATH and fixed-size integer data types
I was fiddling around to get VPATH builds working again, and the only
nontrivial fix was for ordinals.h. Because it is auto-generated, it goes in
the build directory, not the source directory, and thus requires some
fiddling to get included properly. After looking at it, I don't see why it
needs to be auto-generated. Rather than substituting in these values with
autoconf, they can just be

c/s 17138 introduced the use of VPATH instead of symlinks to access to
libelf files. However, that not only provides access to .c files, but
also to .o files. That means that if one compiles the hypervisor before
the tools, libxenguest.a contains .o files intended to the hypervisor,
containing references to printk, etc. and thus is unusable.

VPATH build of R on MacOSX
I am trying to do VPATH builds of R3.1.3, i.e. binaries built outside
the source directory. It works just fine on Linux but on Mac OSX
(Mavericks) I get the following trace from make, after a successful
configure step. Any insights gratefully received. make is GNU make 3.81
on both systems.

trouble with make/VPATH
I've got a tough to track down problem that seems to be samba related.
I've got a directory structure like this:
topdir/
lib1/src
lib1/include
lib2/src
lib2/include
etc.
Each src directory has a makefile in it. VPATH is set to ../include.
I'm running cygwin bash and make. In some directories, make can't find
files in ../include. In other directories, make finds
