Hi everybody,
i've been using rsync for quite some time to sync files between my
laptop and my desktop
for example i use the following to backup the music library (from Mac
to Linux)
> rsync -rvzu --exclude=.DS_Store --delete --exclude 'Podcasts/*'
> $LOCAL_MUSI $REMOTE_MUSIC >> $LOGFILE
An odd thing i always noticed is that some files were always copied,

metaflac --show-all-tags (patch)
Hi folks,
I always wondered why there is no "metaflac --show-all-tags", in
parallel to --remove-all-tags. Attached you can find a patch for
your consideration. Sample output:
% metaflac --show-all-tags *.flac
01 Pigs on the wing (Part One).flac:ARTIST=Pink Floyd
01 Pigs on the wing (Part One).flac:TRACKNUMBER=01

Problems logging windows machines
Hi all.
Need your help...
I can join the domain normally.
After restarting indicates that duplicate name exists on the network.
When I try to log in, indicates that the domain is unavailable.
I made two machines and get the message in both.
I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 and configured using this tutorial:

table problems
dear helplist,
my student has fifty trees, numbered one to fifty, and a vector

Thus it slept in tree #3 on Monday, then tree #14 on Tues, and so on.
I wish to test the null hypothesis that the animal chooses trees

Default Posix ACLs are ignored when copying files between two directories using Windows (XP)
I have tried to read the documentation, but I was not able to find a clear
solution to my problem. I run Samba 3.0.14a on a Debian system with Posix
ACLs.
I have a share on a file system that uses Posix ACLs, and I have two
directories in that share. Both directories have default ACLs set, so that
every new file (or directory) created under each directory (by Windows
XP/2000 clients)

shlib problems with Intel compiler
Hi Martyn,
Thanks for your insight, that seems pretty direct. Unfortunately, I did not compile this version of R (it's on a large supercomputer system and this version of R was installed by the admins). Using "R CMD config", I see the following relevant settings:
DYLIB_LD = icc -std=gnu99
DYLIB_LDFLAGS = -shared -openmp
LDFLAGS = -L/opt/compilers/intel/cce/9.1.039/lib

Questions about mutiple providers
Hi, this is my first post to the list.
I have googled a lot, and still cannot find a proper solution. I hope
someone here will be able to shed some light on my doubts.
I have set up a firewall using kernel 2.6.15 (Debian) that does NAT for
100 clients, and uses two different ISPs, using the howto found at
http://lartc.org/howto/lartc.rpdb.multiple-links.html. I have *not*

Need Info on Celt-dev
I need to know if this software can help me embed streaming audio into
items(lots) in my online auctions. I am looking for the capability on high
ticket items to be able to explain the benefits and features of that
particular lot.
