orphaned snapshots
I?ve never had such situation and I don?t recall someone sharing something similar.
Most probably it?s easier to remove the node from the TSP and re-add it.Of course , test the case in VMs just to validate that it?s possible to add a mode to a cluster with snapshots.
I have a vague feeling that you will need to delete all snapshots.

xfs_rename error and brick offline
Hi,
I have a 5-nodes GlusterFS cluster with Distributed-Replicate. There are
180 bricks in total. The OS is CentOS6.5, and GlusterFS is 3.11.0. I find
many bricks are offline when we generate some empty files and rename them.
I see xfs call trace in every node.
For example,
Nov 16 11:15:12 node10 kernel: XFS (rdc00d28p2): Internal error
xfs_trans_cancel at line 1948 of file fs/xfs/xfs_trans.c.

vfs_shadow_copy2 cannot read/find snapshots
Hi
I am trying to get shadow_copy2 to read gluster snapshots and provide
the users with previous versions of their files.
Here is my smb.conf:

??????? workgroup = AD
??????? realm = AD.XXX.XX
??????? netbios name = A32X
??????? log file = /var/log/samba/%m

vfs_shadow_copy2 cannot read/find snapshots
Hi Sebastian,
why are you using shadow:snapprefix if this is just ?snap??
Does it work using ONLY shadow:format = snap_GMT-%Y.%m.%d-%H.%M.%S ?
If you use snapprefix you also need to use shadow:delimiter (in your case this would be ?_?). However, I never managed to get it working with snapprefix on my machines.

Behavior of acl_xattr:ignore system acls = yes on a share
Does you filesystem support extended attributes? What does "|getfattr -n
security.NTACL |filename" return?||

vfs_shadow_copy2 cannot read/find snapshots
The gluster side looks like this:
root at B741:~# gluster volume get glvol_samba features.show-snapshot-directory
features.show-snapshot-directory???????? on
root at B741:~# gluster volume get glvol_samba features.uss
features.uss???????????????????????????? enable
I found an error when the samba client is mounting the gluster volume in
the gluster logs

Behavior of acl_xattr:ignore system acls = yes on a share
Hi folks,
It seems that the setting acl_xattr:ignore system acls = yes reduces
Windows compatibility when defined for a share. In all attempts I have
used Windows tools (except editing smb.conf)
Assume there is a share, where the files and folders in the share root
should at least be readable by anybody having access to the share. For
the sake of simplicity the following permissions apply on

migration of data
Hi,
I have to migrate our data from one old samba server to a new one. Due
to various reasons we had to change some settings. Now I struggle to get
the acls right.
old smb.conf:
[global]
??????? log file = /var/log/samba/%m
??????? realm = AD.XXXXXX
??????? security = ADS
??????? template homedir = /home/%U
??????? template shell = /bin/bash
??????? winbind use default domain = Yes
