PoE - IEEE 802.3af
Hi,
I'm not clear on how to use Power--over-Ethernet, specifically with Polycom
phones.
What I understand, is that by buying the Polycom 501 with the 802.3af cable
bundle, I simply connect my phone, through the Polycom provided "special"
RJ-45 cable, into a PoE capable switch, and voil?!
Is this true? And if so, what happens when the Phone doesn't connect
directly to the

There is no voltage information
Thanks again.
So one more bit (other than indeed different libusb versions) that could
potentially come into play is bitness - armv7l builds are 32-bit, right?
One idea from here is to have you run the driver programs directly with
high debug verbosity, e.g. `usbhid-ups -DDDDDD -s Liebert` to compare the
two walls of text (at some debug level it spews byte data seen from
libusb); this might

Forbidden: You don't have permission to access /phpMyAdmin/ on this server.
Environment:
- CentOS 5.1,
- Apache 2.2.3
- php 5.1.6
- phpMyAdmin 2.11.6
- MySQL 5.0.22
Brand new system, brand new installation of all the above products.
All looks well, but when I try to connect to phpMyAdmin, I get an

I'll forgo all the paths I followed trying to get this to work and cut

Winbind backend : rid is too much underappreciated
I just came to the conclusion that the rid backend has been very much underappreciated. Too much mental inertia about how things used to be made?
After strugling for two days to configure a member server against a Samba Active Directory with the ad/RFC2307 backend, I turned to the rid backend and voil?! all my problems are gone. Having to manually edit uids/gids in UNIX Attributes under RSAT

Re: Is 1.2.12.1 production ready (Mauro Zanin)
Hi Everybody,
as far as I see, I installed 1.2.12.1 on a 1.2.0 box. Everything ran OK, but
VoiceMail application stated that there were no entries in voicemail.conf,
so it didn't work. Installed again 1.2.0 and voil? the VoiceMail app. was
working again. I asked to the group, but it seems I'm the only one with this
issue!

Info to upstream centos mirror: file centos/7.0.1406/os/x86_64/LiveOS/squashfs.img IS CORRUPT !
Hello,
i've been struggling hard to setup our automated PXE/kickstart system
using various local mirrors
but it alway hung after partitioning with no further exception. When I
encountered squshfs errors
on the Console (text based / kickstart installation) I re-synced (rsync)
with CERN mirror afterwards with
switch.ch mirror and fh-esslingen - But the squashfs image remained corrupt.

Delegation of control failure for any built-in Security Principals
Hi team.
I am trying to allocate some rights to users in Active Directory, by using the "Delegation of Control Wizard" from ADUC.
The steps I'm following were executed under the domain administrator user and are the following:
1. open ADUC and right click the top level OU (Ex. domain.org)
2. from the pop-up menu, select ?Delegate Control??
3. click next in the first page of the

RHEL 6 <-> CentOS 6 ?
Hi !
We are curently deploying an 8 nodes cluster where we have a RHEL 6 license
at great costs (~14 k$/y). It will be our new production environment for
mission-critical services.
Now our aging developpement server (old p4 with 1.5 gig of ram) need to be
updated. We will be installing on hardware as close as possible to the new
production servers, just not in a rack...

Clustering large data matrix
Hello,
I have a large data matrix (68x13112), each row corresponding to one
observation (patients) and each column corresponding to the variables
(points within an NMR spectrum). I would like to carry out some kind of
clustering on these data to see how many clusters are there. I have
tried the function clara() from the package cluster. If I use the matrix
as is, I can perform the clara

Dovecot 2.0b3: mdbox with incorrect ACL file permissions crashes
Hi,
played around with 'mdbox' format some more. Converted my personal mailbox with latest Dovecot and dsync from HG:
dsync convert -u login at yourdomain.com mdbox:~/mdbox
One thing I noticed is, that dsync does not take care of existing 'dovecot-acl' files, which it should migrate/copy from my point of view, but simply skips them. Anyway I copied over the ACLs manually and

There is no voltage information
Hello all,
I think I've found the "regression" in Belkin/Liebert USB HID support
which worked for NUT v2.7.4 and reports zero voltages in 2.8.0 -- it was
actually caused by a bug fix: practically the only functional difference
per `git diff v2.7.4..v2.8.0 drivers/belkin-hid.c` is a change from `abs()`
to `fabs()` in order-of-magnitude comparisons like `if( abs(value - 1e-7) <

Configuring LLVM Sparc target for Leon 3 and Leon 4 variants
At the moment I am using LLVM to target our proprietary SHAVE processor, but
the Movidius "Myriad" chip also utilises a Sparc Leon for executive
functions. For this I use the GCC compiler.
This all works fine, but I would like to consolidate code generation for
both targets in the same LLVM derived compiler to simplify things and I have
a couple of questions about the Sparc backend
