MOH different question
Is there anyway for a sip station to play MoH out of the speaker? I know I can do it by calling the station and putting it on hold. For example: On a samsung pbx with MoH, if you goto one of the workstaions and press a button The moh plays out of the speaker. Is there any way to do this with asterisk? Experience with Promise Tech. arrays/jbod''s?
Greetings, In looking for inexpensive JBOD and/or RAID solutions to use with ZFS, I''ve run across the recent "VTrak" SAS/SATA systems from Promise Technologies, specifically their E-class and J-class series: E310f FC-connected RAID: http://www.promise.com/product/product_detail_eng.asp?product_id=175 E310s SAS-connected RAID:

Character entry mismatch in the console window
Dear R users, I have just de-installed my old R 2.4.1 and installed R 2.7.0. I downloaded this version from the South African mirror, as I am currently working in South Africa. When trying to paste any of my old analyses into the console (I keep them in word-documents), I get an error when I first try to load the data with the following line (example): lap.long.dist <-

Adding to wxRuby (Now I fired up)
Nick, Curt, Kevin, Now that I have dabbled ever so slightly in adding to wxRuby on a source level (and it wasn''t perfect, Nick had to fix some of my code!), I feel all fired up. Any areas specific that need to be added that I could test my luck with again, or can I just go pick and choose? This gets funner every day... (yes, i constitute "funner" as a word), Zach

ZFS/NFS/LDOM performance issues
[Cross-posting to ldoms-discuss] We are occasionally seeing massive time-to-completions for I/O requests on ZFS file systems on a Sun T5220 attached to a Sun StorageTek 2540 and a Sun J4200, and using a SSD drive as a ZIL device. Primary access to this system is via NFS, and with NFS COMMITs blocking until the request has been sent to disk, performance has been deplorable. The NFS server is a

puppet seems to be restarting itself very often
I turned on reporting the other day and I''m seeing alot of these when puppet runs. Especially during times when nothing is going on (middle of the night etc) Tue Dec 11 12:34:48 -0500 2007 //base/puppet/puppet::client/Service[puppet]/ensure (notice): ensure changed ''stopped'' to ''running'' It''s also quite odd that puppet when it runs it thinks

new puppet providers
I might have the terminology wrong, but how to a give new puppet providers to the puppet clients? I''m thinking a provider is the thing the puppet client uses to implement a task that the master has given it. Am I way off here? zfs list improvements?
To improve the performance of scripts that manipulate zfs snapshots and the zfs snapshot service in perticular there needs to be a way to list all the snapshots for a given object and only the snapshots for that object. There are two RFEs filed that cover this: http://bugs.opensolaris.org/view_bug.do?bug_id=6352014 : ''zfs list'' should have an option to only present direct

Interesting interaction between source and ensure in file definition in function...
Given the following: file { "/my/file": source => "puppet://server/path/to/some/file", ensure => absent } Puppet will copy /my/file to the host. What I was hoping was that ensure => absent would trump a source file. However, if we change the above slightly like this: file { "/my/file": source =>

7110 questions
Hi all, (down to the wire here on EDU grant pricing :) i''m looking at buying a pair of 7110''s in the EDU grant sale. The price is sure right. I''d use them in a mirrored, cold-failover config. I''d primarily be using them to serve a vmware cluster; the current config is two standalone ESX servers with local storage, 450G of SAS RAID10 each. the 7110 price

[LLVMdev] clang with multiple input .c and .h files
Hello, I would like to generate LLVM byte code for some .c and .h files in a benchmark. Is Clang (or llvm-gcc) has an option for me to input multiple c files and generate 1 byte code file? I think generating byte code for each .c file and compile and link them later is not a good idea since the programs are related to each other. Any suggestions about how I should do it? gcc has a

duplicated lines in serverloop.c? (openssh252p2)
Hi, I was looking through the source, and I noticed that the following code appears twice in the file serverloop.c. Is it supposed to, and if not, would there be any ill effect? +289 +290 /* Read and buffer any available stdout data from the program. */ +291 if (!fdout_eof && FD_ISSET(fdout, readset)) { +292 len = read(fdout, buf,

All My Rails Apps Died Over the Holidays
I have several Rails (version 1.0) apps I''m working on on a Win XP box using Webrick that were working fine before I left for the holidays. I came back, started up and they all get the same syntax and compile errors: compile error ./script/../config/../app/views/time/list.rhtml:4: Invalid char `\212'' in expression repeated over and over. Refreshing the page gives thes same

Amazon S3FS Automounter of sorts
Hi, I?ve just started using Amazon S3 for storage and have used s3fs to mount the buckets on the file system. 1. I was wondering if anyone has a better method ? even though this meets my current needs. 2. if there is an automounter that could be tweaked to work with s3fs. The entries in my fstab are rather different to the normal disk based ones, s3fs#BUCKETNAME /mnt/s3/BUCKETNAME fuse

Up to date packages for puppet
I was wondering if there would be any benefit to the general community if I made available a debian and ubuntu repository of up to date puppet packages. I have the infrastructure in place anyway for my work (pbuilder + falcon), and can quite easily run up a vhost on a VM somewhere. Debian Etch (4.0) for example has puppet 0.20.1, and will never get a newer version. Ubuntu Feisty has a newer

Push /home/* directories recursively to clients
Hi I am trying to push populate /home & subdirectories from the puppet server to all the Linux clients. I managed this with cfengine using rsync. But I am not sure how do I achieve this in puppet, do we have any inbuilt function for this. Also, is there a function for userdel like for useradd (user) groupadd(group). Any suggestion is appreciated. -- Deepak

rsync script for snapshot backups
Hey guys, i tried to create a simple rsync script that should create daily backups from a ZFS storage and put them into a timestamp folder. After creating the initial full backup, the following backups should only contain "new data" and the rest will be referenced via hardlinks (-link-dest) This was at least a simple enough scenario to achieve it with my pathetic scripting skills.
