[PATCH] drm/nouveau: fix handling empty channel list in ioctl's
If there are no channels, chan would never end up being NULL, and so the null pointer check would fail. Solve this by initializing chan to NULL, and iterating over temp instead. Fixes oops when running intel-gpu-tools/tests/kms_flip, which attempts to do some intel ioctl's on a nouveau device. NV30 (FX 5200 Ultra) OUT_RINGp and initial four GEM objects are mapped to the GART instead of System RAM - is that proper?
I am trying to figure out why the ttm_bo_vm_fault is stitching pages from the GART instead of the pages allocated via DRM_NOUVEAU_GEM_NEW. And also why OUR_RINGp is writing 16, 256 and 512 bytes of zero filled data *1 in the GART? Perhaps I should mention that I know _why_ it is taking the pages from the GART and giving them to the userland - but I don't know if that is correct way of doing

[PATCH 1/2] libdrm/nouveau: new optimized libdrm pushbuffer ABI
This patch changes the pushbuffer ABI to: 1. No longer use/expose nouveau_pushbuffer. Everything is directly in nouveau_channel. This saves the extra "pushbuf" pointer dereference. 2. Use cur/end pointers instead of tracking the remaining size. Pushing data now only needs to alter cur and not both cur and remaining. The goal is to make the *_RING macros faster and make the

[RFC PATCH v2 0/5] More explicit pushbuf error handling
Hi there, Resending these now that they've had some more polish and testing, and I heard that Ben's vacation is over :-) These patches work as a starting point for more explicit error mechanisms and better robustness. At the moment, when a job hangs or faults, it seems that nouveau doesn't quite know how to handle the situation and often results in a hang. Some of these situations
