Ok, I have to ask. I tried to yum install the latest openwebmail (from the openwebmail repo), and got a transaction check error about a conflict with some packages which are needed by amavisd and spamassassin (packages originating from rpmforge, I think). After system update yesterday, Openwebmail now gives an error: > Undefined subroutine &Compress::Zlib::memGzip called at /var/www/cgi-bin/openwebmail/shares/ow-shared.pl line 1175. How does IMAP lock the /var/spool/mail/user file? Here's my problem: I'm writing a script to expire old or oversize mail through a series of archive folders. I don't want to take the whole server down to do this, nor does it seem like I would have to lock the user out entirely if I can manage to emulate the locks correctly.
