Re: [Ocfs2-tools-devel] Patch for debugfs.ocfs2 ``icheck'' command
http://oss.oracle.com/~smushran/debugfs.ocfs2-icheck-04a.patch The comments have been inlined in the patch. Summary; 1. Follow Tao's recommendation for checking against known holes. The check for the first cluster group can be done before hand, and for the remaining, it can be done as part of the group descriptor check. 2. It should allow users to provide multiple block numbers. OCFS2 is often used in high-availaibility systems, This patch enhances robustness for the filesystem. but storage network is unstable?it still triggers a panic? such as ocfs2_start_trans -> __ocfs2_abort ->panic. The 's_mount_opt' should depend on the mount option set, If errors=continue is set, mark as a EIO error, change OCFS2_MOUNT_ERRORS_PANIC to OCFS2_MOUNT_ERRORS_CONT in

Hi, "status = -30" means it has encountered EROFS when start transaction. And system panic is because s_mount_opt is set to OCFS2_MOUNT_ERRORS_PANIC in __ocfs2_abort, ideal with OCFS2_MOUNT_ERRORS_PANIC first in ocfs2_handle_error. so I think that it is not reasonable, Therefore, this setting shall be canceled in __ocfs2_abort. thanks ________________________________ zhangguanghui

Heming reported a BUG when using io_uring doing link-cp on ocfs2. [Patch] We resolve the throughput drop problemwhe nr eading filesin OCFS2 volume in the patch "ocfs2-truncate-pages-1.patch"a gainstsvn 1226.
We are also thinking about locking for each read/write, but would its = overhead be too high? We have another idea that is extending the function of flock, lockf, = fcntl to distributed. So any application that need strict data consistent can do a lock = operation on the whole or part of the file. For ordinary application, maybe the current logic is enough. How about it? >-----Original
