Coloring Continents/Regions of World Map
Dear All, This may be a silly question, but I have tried searching through a few of the existing threads already, and haven't found any information on this. I am trying to color code entire continents/regions (Asia, North America, Africa, etc.) based on the number of relevant companies. The data would look like: World Location Companies North America 4848 Western Europe 1972 East Asia

However, the data below produces a ggplot with the stacks sorted in alphabetical order from the bottom up. I'd like the stacks to be in the order "Europe", "Asia", "Americas, "Africa", "Oceania". Is there an easy way to

The purpose of these groupings is to have adjacent countries grouped together for applications like fastest mirror and others. I will put here what we currently have and ask the community to vet the

RoR completely ignoring a column when saving changes
I have an action that needs to update two models/two tables in one shot, and it works great, but ignores one column. Here is the action code: (verify_id is irrelevant in this case) [CODE] def edit @page_title = "Edit User" @page_active_3 = "active" if request.post? @user = User.find(params[:id]) @profile = @user.profile verify_id(@user.id,

New Server Donation - Thanks
I would like to inform the CentOS user community that we have received another new server donation. This time from EuroVPS ( http://www.EuroVPS.com/ ). I would like to thank EuroVPS, and Igor and Vasili, for working with us to get this server up and running. This one is especially nice, as they have given us more bandwidth (20 mbit/sec) than usual, and this server is in the EU, where we really

samba appliance issues
Hi All! I have been a happy and contented user of samba for several years now, when I got asked several questions I didn't know the answer to. The questions were: 1) Is there a way to create a network appliance type unix box, where usernames and groupnames are pulled from an existing NT4 or W2K domain? (without maintaining a local /etc/passwd file) What is the best way to do this?

I've been a R user on Windows for about 8 months now, and I'm going to put in a plug for the Windows version. I'll be teaching a workshop in statistics and data analysis next month to a group of scientists from developing countries South Asia, Latin America, and Africa.
