Why is smbd looking for Kerberos principal cifs/host@DOMB when it is a member of DOMA?
Your config looks ok, as far i can tell. This : "cifs/kvm7246-vm022.maas.local at TC84.LOCAL" As it should spn/hostname.fqdn at REALM nothing wrong with that. But if i understand it right. Your server : kvm7246-vm022.maas.local is in REALM : TC83.LOCAL ( NTDOM:TC83 ) But you get TC84 back?. On the problem server run the following: dig a kvm7246-vm022.maas.local @IP_of_AD-DC

Daemon "started" messages
Hello. I'm gradually replacing my 4.17 installations with 4.19 (on FreeBSD). As soon as I do this, I'm starting to see gobs of messages in the log like the followings: rpcd_lsad[54129]: rpcd_lsad version 4.19.5 started. samba-dcerpcd[14381]: samba-dcerpcd version 4.19.5 started. I actually experience no troubles (so far) and there are no error messages actually, but is this

get_share_mode_lock:, get_static_share_mode_data failed: NT_STATUS_NO_MEMORY with Samba 4.11.2
Hai, I'm wondering, why this is not in 4.11 ? The current error messages, makes people look in the wrong direction. Do you know if its prepaired it for next release? Else i'll patch it into my builds. Rowland, tell me, how did you find the change through git, thats still a part i need to improve. :-/ I looked in bugzilla, but was not able to find it. Thanks, i noticed this one

Upgrade from samba version? OS=? Smb.conf content = ? These thing do help us in helping to find your problem. So can you tell a bit more about the server. get_share_mode_lock: get_static_share_mode_data failed: NT_STATUS_NO_MEMORY
Upgraded to Samba 4.11.2 and I?ve now too started seeing the message: get_share_mode_lock: get_static_share_mode_data failed: NT_STATUS_NO_MEMORY A lot. I modified the source in source3/locking/share_mode_lock.c a bit in order to print out the values of the service path, smb_fname & old_write_time when it fails and it seems they are all NULL? Why is smbd looking for Kerberos principal cifs/host@DOMB when it is a member of DOMA?
Hi all. I?m trying to understand a weird authentication failure: I have two domains (TC83.LOCAL and TC84.LOCAL), each in a diferent forest, with a bidirectional forest trust. The samba server kvm7246-vm022.maas.local is a domain member of TC83 and is running a recent build from git master (f38077ea5ee). When I test authentication of users in each domain by running ntlm_auth on the samba server,
