similar to: Sparc zfs root/boot status ?

I am afraid a search does not get much on this subject, hence this post. Is there a plan for a Nevada build to include zfs root/boot on Sparc architecture? When? This message posted from opensolaris.org

I wanted to send out status on the effort to make a version of Solaris install available that supports zfs as a root file system. I''ve got a version of it ready for distribution, but I''d like to test it on the Build 62 community release before I make it available. Without the build 62 community release, I have to test it on a build 61 image, updated with some build 62 packages.

I understand that currently, at least under Solaris 10u6, it is not possible to jumpstart a new system with a zfs root using a flash archive as a source. Can anyone comment as to whether this restriction will pass in the near term, or if this is a while out (6+ months) before this will be possible? Thanks, Jerry

Hello, I have a Dell 2950 with a Perc 5/i, two 300GB 15K SAS drives in a RAID0 array. I am using mdbox for dovecot storage. I wonder if I could skip "dovecot.index.cache" files and, in general, "*.cache" files when doing mail backup. Those files are big and change frequently. I am using mdbox storage format. As far as I know, ?doveadm purge? does a complete purge. The time and disk activity would be proportional to the number mdbox files on the storage. The purge time could be huge. I wonder if there is some way of doing a kind of incremental purge, stopping/restarting purging, etc. Purging by file range would be nice too. Advice?
