Snmp cpuRawIdle showing double
Posted this to xen-users back in Oct
(http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/xen/users/186768), but just
confirmed that I''m still seeing this behavior on 4.1.
Polling the UCE-SNMP-MIB::ssCpuRawIdle counter results in a total that''s
double the actual number of cpu''s on the system, so for example:
nms ~ # snmpwalk -v 2c -c ''XXX'' xen1

Re old message CPQPOWER-MIB - nearly there (using snmp-ups with HP AH401A management card)
Hi,
This appears to be related to a thread from January 2010:
http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/nut-upsdev/2010-January/004470.html
NB: This is on an HP-UX 11.31 box, using a self compiled and packaged version of NUT 2.6.3, and net-snmp v5.7.1.
Therefore some of the search paths and things like that may well be wrong because I've done something dumb. I'm also
only just getting

UCD-SNMP-MIB::dskPercent not returned for ZFS filesystems?
Hello.
On a Solaris 10 10/08 (137137-09) Sparc system, I setup SMA to also return values for disk usage, by adding the following to snmpd.conf:
disk / 5%
disk /tmp 10%
disk /apps 4%
disk /data 3%
/data and /apps are on ZFS. But when I do "snmpwalk -v2c -c public 10.0.1.26 UCD-SNMP-MIB::dskPercent", it only returns values for the first two directories (/ and /tmp), which are on UFS

ast-ax-snmpd release 0.3
Hi to all,
today I have released the version 0.3 of ast-ax-snmpd.
It is some code that adds the snmp subagent functionality to asterisk,
using the ucd snmp framework and following the agentX standard.
It has tested under debian woody, with specific version of ucd_snmp,
so your mileage may vary.
I am evaluating to transfer this effort under a more recent net-snmp
umbrella,
this could permit

Not able to join domain
I'm trying to set up Samba 3.0.20-4-SUSE on a opensuse 10 machine. I'm working with XP Pro on the client machine. I can't get the XP mahcine (RDS7) to join the domain (UCD). It asks for a user when trying to join and then says it cannot find it. The samba log is:
auth/auth.c:check_ntlm_password(317)

Problem building Perl net-snmp
Hi
I'm trying to build the perl modules of net-snmp-5.4.2. Everything seems
to work fine until "make test"[1]. The problem with "DynaLoader.pm"
seems to be an old one.
The machine is Centos 5.2 i386
I'm trying to build instead of using the one available in the repos
because I'll build in other platforms and also in nagios-plugins.
Thanks

Graphing System Load MRTG
I check system load like so:
[root at server cron.daily]# w
10:07:33 up 4 days, 15:01, 2 users, load average: 4.22, 3.17, 3.09
I would like to to graph the 3.17 5 minute average with MRTG. Anyone
know of some examples of doing this?

Classification error rate increased by bagging - any ideas?
Hi,
I'm analysing some anthropometric data on fifty odd skull bases. We know the
gender of each skull, and we are trying to develop a predictor to identify
the
sex of unknown skulls.
Rpart with cross-validation produces two models - one of which predicts
gender
for Males well, and Females poorly, and the other does the opposite (Females
well, and Males poorly). In both cases the error
