Weird active record problem - goes away with cache_classes change
I have three active record objects, User, Question and Answer
- Questions belong to a user and has_many answers
- Answer belongs to a user
Now, when I start with an array of answers, I can do this
successfully:
for a in answers
a.user.user_id
end
If I do this:
for q in questions
answers = q.answers
for a in answers
a.user.user_id
end
end
It works the first time, but it fails the

print spooling message never goes away
I have a Samba server that reports some print jobs "spooling" to the
workstations on the network when clients browse it. There are no jobs
spooling or printing and it never goes away unless I restart the Samba
process. It does come back though and do the same thing. This happens on
a few of the 50 queues it's serving.
Any ideas?
Thanks

SMP goes away after installworld (4.8-STABLE)
Hello,
I installed 4.8-RELEASE a few weeks ago, and since I let
the effort sit stagnant for a while I decided to do the
cvsup/buildworld/buildkernel/installkernel/installworld/mergemaster/MAKEDEV
steps to get current.
Went fine, rebooted, then noticed that just one CPU was recognized:

We're using the SQLite backend for authentication of Postfix SASL. When
the db is replaced we HUP dovecot to close and reopen its connection.
During this time it appears the socket file is removed and Postfix

Number of imap-login processes always keeps growing, never goes down
Hi all!
I've bumped into an issue which Dovecot which has me a bit stumped; All of a
sudden (ie. no obvious changes made to the config as far as I know) Dovecot
seems to never stop 'imap-login' processes. This continues to the point where
it will hit the 'process_limit'. For a 50-ish user install the limit was set to
100 but I increased it to 512. The only thing this changes

supsmu produces segfault when handed all NAs. (PR#9519)
When handed an argument with all NAs, supsmu() causes a
sigfault causing termination of R. The following example
reproduces the problem (on a linux gentoo system), but I have verified the
same behavior on a solaris builds as well as several versions of R.
x <- (1:100)/10;
y <- sin(pi*x) + rnorm(length(x));
tmp <- supsmu(x,y); # works
y[c(2,5,10)] <- NA; # a few NAs

Authenticating before tests
Hi all,
I''m using Goldberg, an engine that provides roles based access
control for my app. I need to login before I can do controller tests,
but I can''t find any examples of people doing this.
Could someone point me in the right direction?
I thought the simplest way would be to either call the login action
from my other tests before(:all), but I can''t seem to

Just starting to look at Goldberg and I like what I see so far. However,
there''s quite a bit in there. Anyone using Goldberg for production sites?
How is the security, flexibility, etc?
Thanks for any input you can provide!

Is anyone routing samba connections over a wan?
Is there a way to do this that will make the network admins happy?
Thanks for your help with this.

Welcome to the "Xapian-discuss" mailing list
Hi,
I'm new to Xapian and wanted to know if it has a specific feature. I want
to be able to check the relation between two terms on a page based on how
close they are together on the page. I want to use a combination of n-gram
based labeling and the "slop" feature found in Elasticsearch. Does Xapian
have this/a similar feature? I haven't been able to find any programs that

screen shifting
Hello List,
I was wondering if there is a way to shift the screens in linux. I got
a kvn yesterday, and have a problem when switching from computers, where
the screen is slightly shifted on one of them. I have to go into the
monitor configuration screen and move the screen to the right to center
it on one of the computers. Then when moving back to the other
computer, that screen isn't
