Polar plot, circular plot (angular data)
Dear R-users, Hereby a polar plot function for plotting angular data. I hope it will be usefull for some of you. I had a need to plot frequencies of wind-directions. The not-that-cheap SigmaPlot software did not allow me to change the orientation of the angular axis to clockwise orientation (what is used for meteorological observations). I even tried the latest version availible at the time

Rsync 3.0.5 sometimes hangs copying local disk to other local disk (Solaris 9)
I hope I'm sending this report to the right place. I recently upgraded the rsync binaries in a bunch of our Solaris 9 systems from rsync 2.6.9 to rsync 3.0.5 . I have a script that runs in each machine that syncs the file systems from an active drive to a backup drive. Wihtin 3 days, this script had hung in two of the ~20 hosts that I had updated with the new rsync. Those two hosts

Polar plot, circular plot (angular data): II
Dear R-users, As noted by Paul Murrell < p.murrell at auckland.ac.nz > there is errors in the code for polar plotting I send to R-help under the title "Polar plot, circular plot (angular data)" at Thu Oct 17 2002 - 12:18:20 CEST. Thanks! I have reorganized the code into a structure ('pp'). This allows plots to be modified to a greater extent by passing arguments by ...

[LLVMdev] Implementing the ldr pseudo instruction in ARM integrated assembler
Hi David, Maybe I’m just blind, but where’s the code to handle the .ltorg directive? Is that a separate patch, maybe? Without that, this is not going to be usable in any circumstance using subsections-via-symbols. +typedef std::map<const MCSection *, ConstantPool> ConstantPoolMapTy; This feels odd to me. Can you elaborate a bit more on the data structure choices?? I would have expected

Hi David, Thanks for your efforts here. [LLVMdev] Implementing the ldr pseudo instruction in ARM integrated assembler
Hi Amara, Thanks for your suggestions. I have made the changes you suggested and added a new test to check that we print an error when parsing a non-ldr mnemonic with an operand containing `=`. The updated patch is attached. -- Qualcomm Innovation Center, Inc. is a member of Code Aurora Forum, hosted by The Linux Foundation > -----Original Message----- > From: Amara Emerson

setting the seed in standalone code using Rlib
Hi, Is the below -- setSeed -- an okay way to set the seed in standalone applications making use of Rlib? It seems to work as expected. Is there a better way to do it? (I'm also looking at do_setseed but am unsure what to supply as op. findFun("set.seed", R_GlobalEnv)?) Thanks much. -- David Faden, dfaden at iastate.edu AIM: pitulx -- #include <assert.h> #include

Newbie help with ANOVA and lm.
Would someone be so kind as to explain in English what the ANOVA code (anova.lm) is doing? I am having a hard time reconciling what the text books have as a brute force regression and the formula algorithm in 'R'. Specifically I see: p <- object$rank if (p > 0L) { p1 <- 1L:p comp <- object$effects[p1] asgn <-

Wrapper of linearHypothesis (car) for post-hoc of repeated measures ANOVA
For some time I have been looking for a convenient way of performing post-hoc analysis to Repeated Measures ANOVA, that would be acceptable if sphericity is violated (i.e. leaving aside post-hoc to lme models). The best solution I found was John Fox's proposal to similar requests in R-help: http://tolstoy.newcastle.edu.au/R/e2/help/07/09/26518.html
