zpool kernel panics.
Hi Folks, I''ve got a 3.9 Tb zpool, and it is casing kernel panics on my Solaris 10 280r (SPARC) server. The message I get on panic is this: panic[cpu1]/thread=2a100a95cc0: zfs: freeing free segment (offset=423713792 size=1024) This seems to come about when the zpool is being used or being scrubbed - about twice a day at the moment. After the reboot, the scrub seems to have

Easy way to strip down CentOS?
Ok, I understand, now. I just leave multiple desktops in place and switch between them as I want. But perhaps you have reasons to do it as you do. That is one thing I really appreciate about Linux, the fact that there are many, many ways to accomplish almost everything and that what is right and works for me may not be what works best for you. Your scripting style is irrelevant so long as it

Solaris packaging of rsync - script comes here
Hello everybody, I have written a shell script that makes the building of a Solaris package of rsync easier. Because I think it is useful for other Solaris user, I wold be very happy, if somebody would include it to the source tree. There is one little things to do: - include it in the auto-configuration process, so that the version number will be set correctly. So far, Jens ----- Script

Winbind not looking in correct Win2k3 SBS User container
Hi, We've recently upgraded a network from Win2k to 2k3 SBS. We were using samba with security = domain (which I believe stopped working - I was on vacation at the time the upgrade was done) and are now using security = ads. We're using samba-3.0.23b-0.1.35 on SuSE Enterprise Linux Server 9 SP3 x86_64 The samba machine has been sucessfully joined to the domain with: kinit
