samba 4.1.9 group share issues with nfsv4 acl
Dear list,
I have a freebsd 10 server with a ZFS pool, where data is shared with
samba. ZFS ACLs are compliant with NFSv4 ACL.
ZFS acl mode and inherit are set to passthrough (not sure it's really
relevant here).
The server is a domain member, and "standard" file service works well.
I had the same setup with samba 3.5, where I was able to have a single
share for all groups, so I

Samba to share NFSv4 + ACL mounted filesystems on NetApp storage
Hi,
We are running into a problem with a Samba setup and would like to
know if a current fix or workaround is at all possible.
Our setup is a NetApp filer serving NFS v4 that is mounted by
Solaris and Linux servers. On those servers we are using Samba to
create shares of those NFSv4 mounted filesystems. We are migrating
to this NFSv4 setup from an existing Solaris NFSv3+Posix ACL setup

Refactor zfs_zget()
Hi,
Since almost all operations in the FUSE low-level API identify files by inode
number, I''ve been using zfs_zget() to get the corresponding znode/vnode in
order to call the corresponding VFS function in zfs_vnops.c.
However, there are some cases when zfs_zget() behaves slightly different than
I need:
1) If zp->z_unlinked != 0 then zfs_zget() returns ENOENT. I need it to return

Fix available for mmap on FreeBSD zfs
Saw this just come through for 8-current, 7-stable ought to have it in a week or so. I have not encountered the problem so I would not be able to judge if this fixes it.
Patch here: http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/cvsweb.cgi/src/sys/contrib/opensolaris/uts/common/fs/zfs/zfs_vnops.c.diff?r1=1.27;r2=1.28

Intermittant IAX Call Failures
I was wondering if anyone had seen this problem before and/or could
offer any insight into what the trouble might be:
I have an Asterisk machine that it set up as a mutual friend with
another one (in another state... about 150ms away). Calls between the
two fail to get established approximately 50% of the time. When a call
works, everything is fine. When one fails, however, I see a large

iax problems
I'm having some trouble with placing some iax calls over an openvpn:
Setup A is a 1.8GHz Celeron, T100P attached to a Zhone Zplex.
Setup B is a 266MHz P2, T100P attached to a Zhone Zplex.
Setup C is a 700MHz P3, T100P attached to an Adtran TA 750.
Setup D is a 233MHz Pentium, with an X100P.
Setups A and B are on the same physical network. IAX calls routed
between them work fine.
Setup D is

IAX / Firefly handshake problem
I had a working 1.0.9 asterisk installation and tried to get a Firefly IAX
phone to register, but it was failing. I upgraded to asterisk 1.2.5 and the
PBX is working fine, but the IAX phone still won't connect. Below is my
iax.conf and the output from setting iax2 debug while the phone tries to
connect. Could somebody please give me some pointers? This doesn't seem to
be a normal

SELinux module
Hello everyone,
I have a problem with oddjob_mkhomedir on a NFS mount point. The actual
context is nfs_t
drwxr-xr-x. root root system_u:object_r:nfs_t:s0 users/
With this type, oddjob_mkhomedir cannot do is job of creating home user
directories.
In the logs, I found about creating a new module with audi2allow and
semodule:

I do not want to disable SELinux at large but only for a directory and its
