Problem with ZFS and ACL with GDM
I am the maintainer of GDM, and I am noticing that GDM has a problem when running on a ZFS filesystem, as with Indiana. When GDM (the GNOME Display Manager) starts the login GUI, it runs the following commands on Solaris: /usr/bin/setfacl -m user:gdm:rwx, mask:rwx /dev/audio /usr/bin/setfacl -m user:gdm:rwx, mask:rwx /dev/audioctl It does this because the login GUI programs are run as the

Current Listeners count wrong for HTML Audio on Android?
Thanks for this information, but the two connections do not die out when using my player in the Android browser. In fact they even stay when the Audio.src is set to some invalid string. You can observe this here: http://concertzender.nl/wp-content/themes/cz-theme/App/test/ , by clicking one of the large icons - and then monitor the corresponding stream here: http://streams.greenhost.nl:8080/

Current Listeners count wrong for HTML Audio on Android?
Hello I always have had best results encoding the stream .mp3 it works on all devices. I also suggest the source to be the same or better than your stream.. this saves in many areas. it sounds like you are possibly debugging a time lapsed source/ stream.. i did not read all so if this is not so i apologize On May 5, 2015 3:11 AM, "Klaas van der Linden" < vanderlinden at

bsnmpd always died on HDD detach
I am running bsnmpd with basic snmpd.config (only community and location changed). When there is a problem with HDD and disk disapeared from ATA channel (eg.: disc physically removed) the bsnmpd always dumps core: kernel: pid 1188 (bsnmpd), uid 0: exited on signal 11 (core dumped) I see this for a long rime on all releases of 7.x and 8.x branches (i386 and amd64). I did not tested 9.x. Is

Current Listeners count wrong for HTML Audio on Android?
Dear all, The problem I am facing, is that one of my clients is concerned about data usage. My client monitors the current number of listeners in the Mount Point list streams.greenhost.nl:8080. The case is, when I start a stream from an HTML app on an Android device, I can see two listeners being added to "Current Listeners". This peculiar behaviour only occurs on Android, not on

Guest time and TSCs since changeset 17716
Changeset 17716 provides monotonically increasing guest time for HVM domains, by using the per-domain pl_time structure. hvm_get_guest_time and hvm_set_guest_time were changed to use this. Previously, the guest time was stored directly in the TSC offset fields of the vmx/smv control structures. Since pt_freeze_time and pt_thaw_time use hvm_get/set_guest_time, they now no longer freeze TSC

Current Listeners count wrong for HTML Audio on Android?
Klaas, You will find that there often are multiple connections, particularly for HTML5 audio elements in WebKit browsers as they probe to see if the media is seekable or not. The multiple connections die out soon after starting though, leaving you one connection for actually streaming the audio. You can verify this yourself with a packet sniffer such as Wireshark. It wouldn't hurt to double

vtimestamp skew, after restorectx()

After an entry into restorectx(), the trace of startimestamp - vtimestamp makes a dramatic jump downwards. Here''s the snippet showing the jump... 6 -> di_checkmem 8 220176600 6 <- di_checkmem

Which label a ZFS/ZPOOL device has ? VTOC or EFI ?
Hi All, ZPOOL / ZFS commands writes EFI label on a device if we create ZPOOL/ZFS fs on it. Is it true ? I formatted a device with VTOC lable and I created a ZFS file system on it. shadow OOS and fast path are incompatible
We recently observed a problem with Solaris HVM domains. The bug was seen was seen with a higher number of VCPUs (3 or more), and always had the same pattern: some memory was allocated in the guest, but the first reference caused it to crash with a fatal pagefault. However, on inspection of the page tables, the guests'' view of the pagetables was consistent: the page was present.

Help wanted - R contributed documentation
The R Foundation is looking for a volunteer to organize the collection of contributed documentation for the R project. The collection is currently hosted on CRAN at https://cran.r-project.org/other-docs.html We want to move it off the CRAN web site. We think that this task would be suitable for someone whose primary interest is in library and information science. Ideally the collection would be

WhoIsIt -- a contributed utility
Hello, everyone-- I've just posted a package on the Asterisk wiki that, when installed, will allow you to announce incoming callers over the computer speakers, based on their CID. It's pretty simple, uses the linux /usr/bin/play (which on redhat, plays gsm files just fine over the speakers), and also uses festival to play the CID name string over the speaker, if you don't already

Makefiles in contributed packages
Hello, I have a couple of suggestions that will help persons with machines/OSs that use extensions other than ".so" for shared libs: 1) Use the variable SHLIBEXT (defined in Makeconf), DONT use "so" or "sl". 2) Use the method in "modreg" to load the dynamic lib: .First.lib <- function(lib, pkg) library.dynam("modreg", pkg, lib) DO NOT USE

Reminder: R Project Contributed Documentation Still Frozen
Dear R Developers, Just I would like to remind that R Contributed Documentation is still frozen: https://cran.r-project.org/other-docs.html It would certainly be nice to have an official R Project Contributed Documentation Site where we can all contribute :) Kind regards, Juan Telleria *P.D.: I have already finished editing my first R Machine Learning Cheatsheet, and hope to publish it to
