cannot mount ''/export'' directory is not empty
Hello,
I am desperate. Today I realized that my OS 108 doesn''t want to boot.
I have no idea what I screwed up. I upgraded on 108 last week without
any problems.
Here is where I''m stuck:
Reading ZFS config: done.
Mounting ZFS filesystems: (1/17) cannot mount ''/export'': directory is

Re: samba + winbindd with NT-DC problem... i'm stuck.
I think your problem is this:
> passwd: files winbind
> group: files winbind
> shadow: files winbind nis
the correct modification for nsswitch is
passwd: files winbind
group: files winbind
shadow: files nis
DON'T put winbind in shadow line!
then try with "getenet passwd" or "getent group" and you should see all
users in /etc/passwd and after them domain

virt-factory investigation (Server settings)
Hi,
Next step is setting up mirrors fo virtual guest deployment
This requires editing:
----------------------------
/etc/virt-factory/settings
----------------------------
This time I'll use FC6 mirrors to test product functionality.
When editing this file setup local IP (not localhost) of the server.
Next step is to start management server:

Krauler UP-M500VA investigation
Hi, All!
I've recently bought an UPS. It is Krauler UP-M500VA, it has USB
port and is a HID device.
But as I discovered the only HID application it supports is 0x860004,
so it isn't claimed by both hidups and newhidups drivers, because it
uses a vendor-specific values. I tried to discover values in that x86
page, but I failed. How can I do it?
And after I get values how to understand

I was trying to get virt-factory on my CentOS 5.
First I set up virt-factory repo (with fc6 packages).
Then following installation documentation I've typed:

[LLVMdev] Another project using LLVM: LENS, a program investigation framework.
Hi, I'm using LLVM as part of my thesis project and wanted to let the
community know about it. (And get your feedback :)
The project is called LENS. It's a file format and a framework for storing
generic information about a program based on the control structure of the
program, and quickly building tools to interact with that data. It might be
best to think of the format as an external

dtrace-discuss: cannot get a ''string'' to print...
hi,
I''m using the PID provider to trace a 32-bit app, prtdiag.
I''m trying to print the value of "propname" (arg1) in the

void *valbuf, size_t nbytes)

i''ve tried many versions, but this is a representative one:

FLAC 1.2.1 on OS X 10.4.11
hi,
according to the FAQ flac supports multichannel formats. i had no
luck with 1.1.4 though ( "Untitled.aif: ERROR: unsupported number
channels 8 for AIFF" ), i guess that feature was added in 1.2?
unfortunately, the binary for 1.2 does not run on OS X 10.4 (says
libiconv is too old). i removed libiconv and reinstalled that from
source, but then flac 1.2.1 just prints

periodically_call_remote forces asynchronous to true?
Whenever I use periodically_call_remote it outputs as the following:

If I understand correctly, setting asynchronous to true means that if
one request takes longer than 2 seconds,

Ajax.Updater asynchronous => false
I was just working on a project where I needed to use Ajax.Updater with a
synchronous request. It appears like all one would need to do is set the
asynchronous option to false. I tried this and noticed that the content
was being requested synchronously but the content was never injected into
the DOM tree like one would expect from Ajax.Updater.
In order to get the content returned by

Re: Rails-spinoffs] Ajax.Updater asynchronous => false
I just ran into this very problem myself. Yes, this is a bug in prototype.
If you look in the code you will see that the relevent handlers and
callbacks simply aren''t called with a synchronous request (onComplete is
similarly not called).
I submitted a patch <http://dev.rubyonrails.org/ticket/4657> over at
dev.rubyonrails.org which fixes this behavior. If you decide to check it
