CentOS Cluter on SunFire X4100s
Greetings! Just joined the list, after looking at the mail archives and such. I have a few SunFire X4100s on the way, and I was wondering if anyone here has ever ran CentOS in a cluster environment? (I'm looking in Oscar's general direction.)

OpenIPMI on a SunFire v20z
Hi all, New to the list and (mostly) new to CentOS. We have just moved from running RHEL to CentOS on our main production servers. Anyway, I am configuring a couple of new SunFire v20z servers here at the moment and trying to get the systems' management interfaces to work fully under CentOS. First issue was trying to install the openipmi RPM from the CD that came with the SunFires, this RPM

Error: NA/NaN/Inf in foreign function call (arg 1)
Hi, I have a huge data table with several variables containing missing values. I want to make a simple scatter plot (Mass, HSI) and draw a smooth regression on it. Here are the summaries of these two variables: > summary(Mass) Min. 1st Qu. Median Mean 3rd Qu. Max. 46.0 205.9 272.5 282.6 348.3 610.1 > summary(HSI) Min. 1st Qu. Median Mean 3rd Qu. Max.

SunFire X2100 and X4100
Anyone seen either of these "in the wild" yet? RHEL3/RHEL4 are install options so I'm assuming CentOS will just work out of the box, but I thought I'd ask here. The 2100 seems like a viable alternative to whitebox 1RU boxes that we currently use, especially with the new dual core processors. Cheers,

SunFire X2100 bios dislikes ZFS''s EFI labels, too
Back in December, there was some discussion here about the Ultra 20''s bios being confused by the EFI labels ZFS uses. After seeing a report about the X2100 exhibiting the same behavior as the Ultra 20, I reproduced the problem and filed: 6407133 X2100 bios intimidated by ZFS-created EFI labels hopefully that bios will get fixed, too. - Bill

Problems with Sunfire X2200
Hello all! We are testing virtualization with two Sun X2200 M2 (2 x Opteron Dual Core) with Xen (3.1.3, locally compiled, Debian etch), KVM (Debian Sid) and Windows Virtual Server (Windows 2003 Server). We have tried paravirtualization and also full virtualization (Pacifica). In all cases we have experienced problems regarding stability in the systems, specifically erratic lost of network

Requesting help with lattice again
Hello, this is a request for assistance that I submitted earlier, this time with the dataset. My mistake for taking up bandwidth. I've also rephrased the question to address an additional concern. I'm working on a windows XP machine with R 2.8.1 1). I'd like a barchart (or other lattice type display) HSI ~ of the three factors (Region, Scenario and HydroState). However

Superscripts and subscripts in trellis graphics
I'd like to annotate an xyplot with an R^2 value, but can not find the syntax to define the superscript format for the text. I'd appreciate suggestions, xyplot(SharkSloughEggs.df$Sharkeggs.rel + SharkSloughEggs.df$SharkHatched.rel + SharkSloughEggs.df$SharkFlooded.rel + HSI.shark$MEAN ~ Year, pch=c(1,9,5,4), lty=c(1,6,3,4), lwd = c(2), col = c("black",

Help with lattice
Hello. I'm working on a windows XP machine with R 2.8.1 I'm working with lattice and I don't understand how to set the size of the text for the labels. Can anyone suggest a solution? I'm establishing a melted dataframe first and then setting a key and calling the plot as follows; > key.variable <- list(space = "right", text = list(levels(wbirdm$variable)),

setting trellis auto.key color values
I'm working with Lattice graphics and I would like very much to color code the auto.key fill color with the same corresponding colors that I use in the panels. I've looked on the web for clues, and on the CRAN-R help sites searching on "trellis auto.key color" and variations, unfortunately the responses there are not very specific. Would someone please explain I have the

you wouldn't get any Network Signalling engineers implementing the 3GPP stack to buy into that. Another issue is that our modem also support other interface technologies such as USB and HSI. It simply doesn't make sense to enforce virtio rings internally if virtio isn't otherwise used on the modem. Without host side rings we simply wouldn't be able to implement zero-copy in the

help with superscripts in simple plots
Hello All, When I use the following lines of code to create a plot and add labels with R-square values the labels have a superscripted R2. library(lattice) xyplot(PropHatchedNests$Phatched + PropHatchedNests$PropNests + PropHatchedNests$meanHSI + PropHatchedNests$RelMeanEggsNest ~ PropHatchedNests$Year, type = "b", scales=list(tick.number=length(PropHatchedNests$Year)),

resistanceDistance representation
Dear all, i'm using gdistance to model animal movement across landscape. I have imported 11 rasters with roads, freeways, slope, use-of-land, lakes (...) after recoding them with GRASS with a HSI value ranging from 1 to 4. I've assigned zero to the NAs and then transformed all the rasters in TransitionLayers (function=mean,directions=4) and later summed all of them into a new transition:
