RTP ports in use grows and grows...
We've been seeing a pattern over the last couple of weeks with our Asterisk servers (1.0.9). The number of ports in use (RTP) seems to grow by two every minute or so. Eventually the server will run out of allowable files open and crash. We are resetting the server once per day to prevent this from occurring. Running "lsof" shows the end of the list like this: asterisk 26733 astx

[PATCH] prevent negative "time left" values with --progress when file grows
[ see http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=415648 ] When a source file grows during transfer, rsync may show negative time values such as 0:-1:-34. The following patch replaces then negative times with ??:??:?? in such cases (as IMHO it's not worth the bother of getting the filesize again etc. in such cases, but showing garbage info is wrong as well). How to create a list that grows automatically
Dear R users I would like to know if there is a way to create a list or an array (or anything) which grows automatically as more elements are put into it. What I want to find is something equivalent to an ArrayList object of Java language. In Java, I can do the following thing: // Java code ArrayList myArray = new ArrayList(); myArray.add("object1"); myArray.add("object2");

Makefile.in diff against CVS to prevent man/config rebuild every make
Bug: all .out files get rebuilt every make. This is silly, and breaks make install if root cannot write to your build dir. Fix: add dependancy check sop .out files only get rebuilt if the source file changes FixBug: if any source file gets changed, all .out files get rebuilt. This is because man pages and config files both get .out extensions but get created differently. It's

memory usage grows too fast
Hi All, I have a 1000x1000000 matrix. The calculation I would like to do is actually very simple: for each row, calculate the frequency of a given pattern. For example, a toy dataset is as follows. Col1 Col2 Col3 Col4 01 02 02 00 => Freq of ?02? is 0.5 02 02 02 01 => Freq of ?02? is 0.75 00 02 01 01 ? My code is quite simple as the following to find the pattern ?02?.
