unable to create channel of type 'SIP'
I'm trying to use OpenBTS with Asterisk. I have two phones that are connecting to OpenBTS correctly, but on the Asterisk side the phones can't call each other. I followed this guide: http://gnuradio.org/redmine/projects/gnuradio/wiki/OpenBTSSettingUpAsterisk I set up two phones in sip.conf and extensions.conf. In my SIP output I see this: WARNING[1689]: app_dial.c:2041 dial_exec_full:

Finishing up the contributors list as well
Guys, OK, now that we have the new core contributors squared away, we can go back to finishing the contributors list. There were some people who got added and then there is existing contributors list. I think Darren''s suggestion to wait to add new core contributors is fine (let the new constitution settle down and we can in the meanwhile have a more inclusive look at both rather than

Ogg Vorbis, Ogg Speex, Ogg FLAC
Now that FLAC has officionally joined the Xiph family, there are three different free audio codecs, which can be stored/transported using the ogg container. Would it be possible to create an API and/or a library that would cover them all? If my understanding of the situation is correct, if an application wants to support vorbis, speex and flac, it has to use three different interfaces.

Unified codec interface
Here is what I imagined (just vague thoughts, nothing polished): Let's suppose we have a hypotetical library called "Free Universal Codec Kit" - ..um...well.. Frunick for short :) (Of course I am not proposing this name, I'm sure the suits in the industry would not like it...but for my example its OK ;) Now, an application should do something like this: #include

Windows key works some times I boot, doesn't work others
Hi all, I run CentOS5.1 with all updates, and like to use metacity's keybindings (gconf-editor->/apps/metacity/global_keybindings and keybinding_commands) to set shortcut keys for xterm, nautilus, and the like, so <Mod4>x runs xterm and <Mod4>e runs nautilus, rather how Windows-XP keyboard shortcuts work. I always log on as 'neek', the only user other than

Graphics help
Hi, I would like to draw a graph as follows: A simplified example is that on the X axis are different countries, I have several temperature measurements taken from each country and would like to plot these linearly above each country. So one would imagine that cold countries would have lots of points at lower temperatures and the opposite for higher countries with a few outliers. I am not sure

ambiguity in sample ices config files
[please cc the answers to me, because I'm not on this list!] Hi there! Yesterday I downloaded the CVS version of icecast and ices. There are several example config files provided for ices in the conf/ directory. The ices-playlist.xml specifies encoding for one of the instances: <encode> <nominal-bitrate>64000</nominal-bitrate>

winbind LOGON_FAILURE
Environment: Redhat 7.3 Kernel 2.4.18-4 Samba 2.2.7 NT4 Domain I have replaced the actual domain name and the name of the PDC with words DOMAIN_NAME and PDC_NAME. In both cases, the correct domain name and pdc name are used. I removed, waited, and then re-added my linux server to our domain from the server manager on our PDC. When I then run smbpasswd -j DOMAIN_NAME -r

Domain Users cannot use quic
Mike, The accounting department here also runs Quickbooks. It also wouldn't run as a standard Domain User. On our old Windows PDC, the Accountant had to be setup as at least a Power User to be able to use the software. While I haven't had much of a chance to dig into it lately, it might just have something to do with file permissions on the Quickbooks directory. Although,

setting session id for first visit
I am logging web visits with a before_filter on the application controller. The issue I''m having is that the initial visit does not return a session id. I''m using the SqlSessionStore and the function MysqlSession.find_session(session.session_id) to retrieve the session id. If it doesn''t exist I use a -1. So looking in my visits table the initial visit always has -1 for

Heat Map for species - code from Numerical Ecology with R
Hello, I am relatively new to R and I am working through the code that is provided in the book Numerical Ecology with R and I have run across an error message that I can't seem to figure out. I am using the vegan, ade4, gclus and cluster packages. The code is as follows: # Ordered community table # Species are ordered by their weighted averages on site scores or <- vegemite(spe,

nested parallel workers
Hi Simon, I'm having trouble with nested parallel workers, specifically, forking inside socket connections. When mclapply is called inside a SOCK, PSOCK or FORK worker I get an error in unserialize(). cl <- makeCluster(1, "SOCK") fun = function(i) { library(parallel) mclapply(1:2, sqrt) } Failure occurs after multiple calls to clusterApply: > clusterApply(cl, 1,

RCurl: authentication when posting forms
Hi, Has anyone successfully used RCurl for posting data to a password-protected site? I have tired using option netrc=1 with both postForm and curlPerform (with postfields option) but can't authenticate. I would happily provide more details if some one has had some experience with this. Thanks very much. Valerie
