ZFS core contributor nominations
The time has come to review the current Contributor and Core contributor grants for ZFS. Since all of the ZFS core contributors grants are set to expire on 02-24-2009 we need to renew the members that are still contributing at core contributor levels. We should also add some new members to both Contributor and Core contributor levels. First the current list of Core contributors: Bill

embed image (png) in postscript (device)
Hi, I output multiple "grid-package-based" plots to the postscript device. Because the graphics are complicated and consists of a lot of datapoints (~200'000) the files become really big. To avoid this big files and to shorten the creation, I currently print the plots to the png device and manually combine them into one multipaged pdf document. My question is, it is possible to do

Cannot mount encrypted filesystems.
Looking for help regaining access to encrypted ZFS file systems that stopped accepting the encryption key. I have a file server with a setup as follows: Solaris 11 Express 1010.11/snv_151a 8 x 2-TB disks, each one divided into three equal size partitions, three raidz3 pools built from a "slice" across matching partitions: Disk 1 Disk 8 zpools +--+ +--+ |p1| .. |p1| <-

Deleting certain observations (and their imprint?)
I'm manipulating a large dataset and need to eliminate some observations based on specific identifiers. This isn't a problem in and of itself (using which.. or subset..) but an imprint of the deleted observations seem to remain, even though they have 0 observations. This is causing me problems later on. I'll use the dataset warpbreaks to illustrate, I apologize if this isn't in

AstDB Partial Replication?
Is anyone aware of a way to replicate parts of the AstDB to another Asterisk install? For example, to export all CF entries on a FreePBX based system to another system running FreePBX, I might do: asterisk -rx 'database show' | grep CF This gives me a list of data, which I can rsync to another host to reimport using 'database put'. BUT, the problem comes in when I want to sync

Asymmetric mirroring
Hello everyone, I''m wondering if the following makes sense: To configure a system for high IOPS, I want to have a zpool of 15K RPM SAS drives. For high IOPS, I believe it is best to let ZFS stripe them, instead of doing a raidz1 across them. Therefore, I would like to mirror the drives for reliability. Now, I''m wondering if I can get away with using a large capacity 7200

snapdir visable recursively throughout a dataset
Is there an existing RFE for, what I''ll wrongly call, "recursively visable snapshots"? That is, .zfs in directories other than the dataset root. Frankly, I don''t need it available in all directories, although it''d be nice, but I do have a need for making it visiable 1 dir down from the dataset root. The problem is that while ZFS and Zones work smoothly

Hi there, I'm new to Centos. I've installed version 6.5 x86_64. I'm coming from slackware/debian utilizzation environment. I'm trying to setup libvirt and qemu-kvm, but I have some problems. I've different vms (2 centos, 2 slackware, 3 Debian) and I'm trying to import all of them. I want prefix that all of them was created from debian host and vdisk had bus=sata and
