Read-write locks in libzpool
Hi,
I think I found a bug in the rw_enter() implementation (emulation?) in
libzpool, file /usr/src/lib/libzpool/common/kernel.c:
void
rw_enter(krwlock_t *rwlp, krw_t rw)
{
ASSERT(!RW_LOCK_HELD(rwlp));
ASSERT(rwlp->rw_owner != (void *)-1UL);
ASSERT(rwlp->rw_owner != curthread);
if (rw == RW_READER)
(void) rw_rdlock(&rwlp->rw_lock);
else
(void)

creating opus encoder and decoder executable on Windows
Hi all:
How do I create opus encoder and decoder executable on Windows using MS Visual Studio 2010?
What I'm doing is the following:
1. I downloaded the codebase on my local drive using: $ git clone git://git.opus-codec.org/opus.git
2. Then I go to D:\opus\win32\VS2010 and open the opus.sln using MS Visual Studio 2010.
3. Then I build the solution opus. I get 3 executable at

Is SIPPEER curcalls working for you ?
Hi,
In this thread
http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/2008-October/219592.html ,
I wondered whether SIPPEER curcalls was working.
I could test this anew today. Here are my findings :
Alice, Bob and Carol ar all using SIP Phones.
Whenever Alice is calling Bob,
- if Carol is calling Alice, SIPPEER(Alice:curcalls) equals 0
- if Carol is calling Bob, SIPPEER(Bob:curcalls) equals 1

beronet & bristuff
Hi.
I'm trying to get a Beronet QuadBRI card work with bristuff drivers.
Though qozap module loads right, all card spans are in deactivated
status. I'm quite sure my configuration is correct and using a single
BRI card instead of the quadBRI the status is active and I can place and
receive calls.
On Beronet installation manual I read that Beronet and Junghanns cards
are identical in

Mongrel Cluster 1.0.1.1 Prerelease: Healing power of the pack!
Hello all...
I know its been a while since the last one, but a new prerelease is
available with a gratuitous increase in version numbers!
gem install mongrel_cluster --source http://mongrel.rubyforge.org/releases/
This one has some new features in it that need to be tested on all unix
platforms. Please run --clean and cluster::status on every *nix you can
find. I run linux so the rest are up

Unexpected b_hdr change.
Hi.
We''re testing the most recent ZFS version from OpenSolaris ported to
FreeBSD. Kris (CCed) observed strange situation. In function arc_read()
he had a panic on assertion that we try to unlock a lock which is not
beeing held:
rw_enter(&pbuf->b_hdr->b_datalock, RW_READER);
err = arc_read_nolock(pio, spa, bp, done, private, priority,
flags, arc_flags, zb);

Refactor zfs_zget()
Hi,
Since almost all operations in the FUSE low-level API identify files by inode
number, I''ve been using zfs_zget() to get the corresponding znode/vnode in
order to call the corresponding VFS function in zfs_vnops.c.
However, there are some cases when zfs_zget() behaves slightly different than
I need:
1) If zp->z_unlinked != 0 then zfs_zget() returns ENOENT. I need it to return

Buffer in IceCast
Hi Tom,
You might be right, but I don't get why my existing downloads (I guess they
are on different routes) are not affected. If my ADLS provider is doing some
IP adjustments (btw my IP is static) I expect everything to disconnect, not
only my icecast connection. So I'll monitor my USRobotics logs today and
tomorrow so see if there is something strange.

dsl_dataset_t pointer during ''zfs create'' changes
I''ve noticed that the dsl_dataset_t that points to a given dataset
changes during the life time of a ''zfs create'' command. We start out
with one dsl_dataset_t* during dmu_objset_create_sync() but by the time
we are later mounting the dataset we have a different in memory
dsl_dataset_t* referring to the same dataset.
This causes me a big issue with per dataset

PXE booting
Hi!
I have been using pxelinux with memdisk to boot our workstations with
our custom floppy, which is a MSDOS boot disk (actually it is win98)
On one of the PC's I'm testing, a Fujitsu-Siemens which has an AMDtek
based on-board network card and when PXE is activated,
it gets an IP from the DHCP, then it finds the TFTP server, downloads
pxelinux.0, executes it which causes the floppy to

Syslinux 2.10 does not load initrd anymore
Hello all,
I just installed syslinux 2.10 on my usb-stick. It still boots then, but
doesn't load initrd.gz (same config file..).
Reverting back to syslinux 2.09 works fine, eg: initrd.gz is loaded.
Something changed in initrd handling code?
greetz,
Jaap Crezee
NB I am willing to share you more information or hints how to solve the
problem.
I am using kernel 2.6.7-bk20

SYSLINUX 3.11-pre10
Okay, the serial port feature in 3.11-pre9 was of course completely
broken (I seem to have bad luck with -pre9's :)... a 3.11-pre10 is now
available, and it does seem to have a more reliable handling of arrow
keys ... *but not perfect*. There simply is no way to reliably detect
both [Esc] and arrow keys on existing serial consoles.
