Re: Bug#390862: -bigmem version of xen kernels is really needed
What about idea not to *add* pae versions of xen kernels, but to *replace* non-pae versions with pae versions? Rationale: - not increase in archive size or linux-2.6 package build time, - this will improve compatimility with other distros (consider scenario when running FC or RHEL in domU; these distros do ship only pae xen kernels, according to

Wine and cyrillic input and output ?
Hello. Is it possible to run russian win98 programs under current wine, and get russian input and output? If yous, how to setup this? My desktop is russian, I have both koi8-r and unicode fonts installed. Last time I tried wine some months ago (maybe a year), and all russian output of the programs was unreadable - it looked like second byte of unicode characters was just set to zero. Thanks

Big machines support by Debian Xen
Hello people. I'm going to maintain a setup of several "big-resource" machines (>= 4 CPUs, >=8 Gb of ram), which should host large number of "small" systems in xen domains. As far as I understand, using "big machines" is not currently possible within debian xen packages, because there is no kernel with pae support to use in domain 0, which in turn

Still un-answered: How-To build Xen (3.2) to override XenSource''s linux-kernel (2.6.18) with a xenified kernel (your own or distribution)
Hello,   I can say that I have searched the entire ''world wide web'' and still haven''t found ''complete  and clear answers'' to the often asked question of: Given a Xen (release) build (say 3.2.0), which by default tries to get and build and assume Linux kernel-xen 2.6.18 from the mercurial repository, HOW TO override the build and make it work with a

CentOS 6.8 named won't start after upgrade
Ugh, I was upgrading the AD server running on a CentOS 6.8 which uses named as its back-end. I have been running it for years with no problems. Today after upgrading bind named will not start. I get this error: Sep 28 23:32:25 nikita named[6369]: ---------------------------------------------------- Sep 28 23:32:25 nikita named[6369]: BIND 9 is maintained by Internet Systems Consortium, Sep 28

intervals on plot
Dear all R users I have been trying to plot a group of intervals by using the bottom code: > breaks <- factor(cut(col3,breaks=360+5*(0:155))) > par(tck=0,lty="solid") > plot(breaks, ann=FALSE,axes=FALSE) col3 is just a column of 1500 floating point data. Unfortunately when i do the plot, the x-axis has some of the intervals as labels dispite me having both 'ann'

Cannot remove old NS record
Hi All, A while ago I replaced a Samba AD on old hardware with a another AD on newer hardware. Everything went smoothly including the demotion of the old AD. However after I did some cleanup DNS records and turned off the old hardware I noticed that there still was a NS record associated with the old AD. So I went to the wiki page https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/DNS_Administration and

Choosing O/S for dom0 host with xen 3.2 - best option?
Hi, I (just) posted something similar to this on the fedora-xen list so apologies if some of you see it twice. I''m about to commission a new dom0 host to host multiple dom0 instances for testing purposes. I''m currently trying to decide what platform to use. I''ve previously used FC6 and CentOS5 as Dom0 hosts. I''d like to be able to use Xen 3.2, and I see

pygrub question
Hi, I''ve prepared a Ubuntu 10.04 LTS server on a Xen 3.2-1 host running Debian Lenny on kernel 2.6.26-2-xen-amd64. The Ubuntu 10.04 domU is running a 2.6.32-24-server kernel from the Ubuntu repositories, which is (must be :-) ) xen-aware. The domU uses pygrub to boot and it works like a charm. Now I''m trying to deploy this domU on a Xen 3.2-1 host running Debian Etch on kernel

Xen 3.2 with Ubuntu 8.04 (64-Bit) on Intel Nehalem (i7)
Hallo list, i am testing a Dell M610 with two quadcore Intel Nehalem CPUs at the moment, so with Hyper-Threading 16 cores in total. As mentioned in the subject I am using Ubuntu 8.04 64Bit and Xen 3.2 from Ubuntu package. During these tests I hit on some issues, which are not clear to me. I would be thankful for any comments/hints/thoughts on the following topics: 1. I recognized that

Another DNS problem
I just changed a DNS/rDNS record using samba-tool. According to samba-tool the change actually occurred. I can query the new record: > samba-tool dns query nikita.samdom.example.com samdom.example.com dc1 ALL Name=, Records=1, Children=0 A: 192.168.1.6 (flags=f0, serial=149, ttl=900) Similarly the rDNS shows: samba-tool dns query nikita.samdom.example.com 1.168.192.in-addr.arpa

Status of the function merging pass?
Hi Nikita, Glad to hear that Rust code can benefit a lot from this. I have put patches to enable merge-similar functions with thinLTO. https://reviews.llvm.org/D52896 etc. <https://reviews.llvm.org/D52896> This is more powerful than existing merge-functions pass and all we need to do is port these patches to trunk llvm. I'd be happy to help with this effort. -Aditya

matching-case sensitivity
Hi All, I am trying to match two character arrays (email lists) using either pmatch(), match() or charmatch() functions. However the function is "missing" some matches due to differences in the cases of some letters between the two arrays. Is there any way to disable case sensitivity or is there an entirely better way to match two character arrays that have identical entries but written
