FreeBSD & Gentoo Images
Hello,
does anyone have a vbd file of these 2 Operating Systems ? So far I only
managed to get Debian Sarge installed properly with deboostrap.
I would be more than happy if anyone had a DiskImage or a good howto for
at least FreeBSD.
Thanks
Regards

rpmstrap/rpmbootstrap to boostrap CentOS 5
Hi,
Is there any working script, similar to deboostrap, for CentOS 5?
I have found rpmstrap [1] at RPMforge.. but only works for CentOS-4, and
appears that's out of date.
thanks!

Bug#476366: xen-utils-3.2-1: pygrub cannot read ext3 files systems with 256 byte inodes
Package: xen-utils-3.2-1
Version: 3.2.0-4
Severity: important
Tags: patch
pygrub uses tools/libfsimage to read a guest filesystem. Unfortunately
the grub derived code does not support 256 byte inodes. Grub itself has
been patched (see #463236 and #463123) and this patch has now been
applied to the upstream Xen tree. See

fedoostrap or deboostrap requirement
Hi,
While trying to ./configure libguestfs on gentoo fails since it requires
feboostrap or deboostrap
Can this be made optional and not as necessary requirement, since there
are still many useful uses for libguestfs
besides bootstrapping, which can be used on distros like gentoo.
Thanks

Using libguestfs to sandbox VM builds
Hi
Debian has a couple of tools like fai-diskimage and vmdebootstrap, to
build VM images, but they require being root, as these loopmounts
partitions on which deboostrap is executed. Maybe installing grub2 needs
access to block devices too.
I was thinking of using libguestfs to sandbox those processes, by
passing a build VM as a disk image and my build directory as a 9pfs
mount to the appliance,

you may need to use 'found' to remove fixed versions.

Re: Fwd: Device 0 (vif) could not be connected. Hotplug scripts not working.
I am wondering what would happen when attempt to create Debian PV DomU at Xen 3.3.1 Suse 11.1 Dom0 via debootstrap , the native way of install Debian (Ubuntu) PV Guests for Xen Systems.
I beleve deboostrap RPM for Suse should be on the Net

[Bridge] couple of bugs and patches for bridge-utils
Hi!
We have received at Debian a couple of bugs and typos that apply to the
bridge-utils code and I'd like to share them with the community so that they
can be fixed for everybody, most of the bugreports have patches or show the
typos made on doc.
Here they are:

ext2/ext3 256 bytes inode problem
Hello,
seems like the new default ext2/ext3 256 bytes inode size problem
applies to extlinux.

[lld] Any chance to get review for a couple of patches in a couple of years?
Hi,
Yes I'll do that. The situation has changed a lot since then and lld got
support for other architectures, in particular aarch64. But if I
remember correctly, there was a discussion whether we should bring this ABI
oddness to the ABI standard body (if exists) or not. I wonder if there was
some progress on that.

[lld] Any chance to get review for a couple of patches in a couple of years?
Hi Rui, Rafael,
You are reviewers of two MIPS related patches for LLD linker:
- Handle cross-mode (regular <-> microMIPS) jumps
https://reviews.llvm.org/D40147
- Multi-GOT implementation
https://reviews.llvm.org/D31528
Both patches implement essential part of MIPS architecture. microMIPS
is something like ARM Thumb. Multi-GOT support required to link any
rather complex application

A couple of draggable patches...
Hi all,
I've just raised a ticket <http://dev.rubyonrails.com/ticket/2826> with a
patch for enabling 'snapToGrid' feature for draggables.
I'm writing a framework on top of scriptaculous and it appeared to me that
this would be something that could belong to core Draggable objects.
To activate, just add to draggable options on creation. (By default gridSize
is set to 10)

a couple of swfdec patches.
Missed you on #swfdec, so I'll throw you this mail instead. Please be
critical to these patches as it's way to late for me to write code and I
haven't really double-checked they are correct as my brain went to sleep
hours ago, but they seem to work in my minimal testing. ;)
Ran into this use-after-free...

A couple of patches....
I have made available three patches for OpenSSH
2.5.1p1 (and 2.3.0p1), two of which may be of
general interest.
They are described in detail at

but a brief description--

This patch provides a NoStore implementation of
ActiveSupport::Cache::Store suitable for use in development and test
environments where the code need to use the cache interface, but
actually caching data is not desired.

Mongrel loading wrong database environment (& a couple other bugs?)
Hi There,
I''ve got a mongrel cluster running on redhat 9 proxied behind an
Apache 2.2 installation. I have run into a real stumbling block in
that, while the rails app runs in production mode (you get a
production.log file, for example, and I see this in the mongrel log:
** Starting Rails with production environment ... ), it always loads
the development database configuration
