[PATCH] virt-what.in: Added VMware virt detection using cpuid in wrapper script
Brief discussion thread - http://lkml.org/lkml/2010/6/29/355
Added VMware detection via cpuid.Mimic'd VMware's balloon driver's init-time
check(cpuid followed by dmi-checks). Moved the existing logic into a simple
function to achieve that.
Tested virt-what.in(ran as a script) and virt-what-cpuid-helper within
a Linux guest on ESX. Thanks.

Bug#487249: (no subject)
I think it should be interesting to correct this bug into Lenny. Perhaps the
severity of this bug should be set to "normal" instead of "wishlist" ?

Bug#487249: [xen-utils-common] XenAPI authentification needs python-pam to work
Package: xen-utils-common
Version: 3.2.0-2
Severity: wishlist

PAM is the only middle to have an authentification with XenAPI. Without
python-pam, Xend silently refuses the authentication and the client have an
authentication error. With python-pam it works great.
Perhaps it should be intersting to have python-pam as a dependency ?

Menu using Scriptaculous Effects = OnMouseOver bug
I am trying to achieve a Flash-like menu with OnMouseOver effects on
3 divs below. Unfortunately, the javascript resets when the mouse is
rolled over the text and if you go mouse crazy on the divs, the
script seems to remember where it cut off, and doesn''t roll down
completely afterwards.
Is it a good place to ask for help? I couldn''t find any Scriptaculous

xen-utils-common's bugreports about package dependencies
Hi,
What about those bugreports concerning the xen-utils-common package ?
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=489323
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=489325
Adapting xen-utils-common's package dependencies doesn't require a lot of work
but it can improve the integration of Xen into Debian...
It should be interesting to have that modifications into Lenny.

Xen status in lenny?
Hi,
AFAIK, the status of Xen in lenny is currently the following:
- no dom0 kernel
- domU kernel only for i386 (no domU kernel for amd64)
I was told (I don't remember where) that this is because the vanilla
kernel only supports domU for i386, and has no dom0 support, so distros
have to port the patches to their kernels (please correct me if I'm
wrong).
However:
- etch shipped with dom0

Migrate a share from Mac-OSX to NAS ASUSTOR samba 4.4
Hello everyone,
I hope you are well. Take care of yourself.
I have the same problem as describe here:
https://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2014-December/187545.html
I migrate a file share from a MAC-OS environment. For its new storage
system, the company purchased an ASUSTOR NAS. This NAS works with an
operating system based on version 4.14 of the GNU / LINUX x86_64 kernel.
This NAS operates a

Compiling "embedding R" examples
Hi,
I am working at a major financial institution and we would like to embed R in one of our front office application.
The application is written in C/C++ so I started by trying to compile the examples in "tests/Embedding" of R 2.0.1.
I have modified "tests/Embedding/Makefile" according https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/r-help/2005-February/064341.html

Extracting/setting elements from/in a matrix/array
Dear all,
I had to extracts/set elements from/in a matrix. Let say I have two
vectors dim1 and dim2 of indices in the respective two dimensions of a
matrix: I want to extract all the corresponding elements. I the case of a
nxn matrix, dim1 <- 1:n and dim2 <- 1:n would extract the diagonal.
I know one way would be to use the functions 'row' and 'col', but the
matrixes I

CPU usage while running R code
I am currently running an R program on a computer with 16 Gb memory (Windows7, 64 bit). When I look at the task manager, I see that only 4 out of the 8 CPUs are being used. Is this due to some missing in the R code, or should I change something to the settings of the computer?
