xen-utils-common's bugreports about package dependencies
Hi, What about those bugreports concerning the xen-utils-common package ? http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=489323 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=489325 Adapting xen-utils-common's package dependencies doesn't require a lot of work but it can improve the integration of Xen into Debian... It should be interesting to have that modifications into Lenny.

[PATCH] virt-what.in: Added VMware virt detection using cpuid in wrapper script
Brief discussion thread - http://lkml.org/lkml/2010/6/29/355 Added VMware detection via cpuid.Mimic'd VMware's balloon driver's init-time check(cpuid followed by dmi-checks). Moved the existing logic into a simple function to achieve that. Tested virt-what.in(ran as a script) and virt-what-cpuid-helper within a Linux guest on ESX. Thanks. A couple of bugs with patches
Hi, There are a couple of open bugs against Xen-3 with patches which directly impact my efforts to have Debian Installer work in a Xen guest domain for Lenny. ?In both cases the relevant fixes are already committed in upstream Xen and I've been rebuilding and using the Debian packages with them without problems. First is #476366 which is a pygrub issue that prevents booting a guest using

Bug#445243: xen-utils-3.1: qemu-dm should be built with alsa support to avoid device locking
Package: xen-utils-3.1-1 Version: 3.1.0-2 Severity: wishlist File: xen-utils-3.1 qemu-dm currently is built with OSS support. This occours /dev/dsp locking once a HVM guest is started. If you have /dev/dsp already open by other applications, sound won't work within guest VM, otherwise qemu-dm will lock and won't be available to the host OS. Would be nice to see qemu-dm built with alsa

eaton evolution not shutting down
Hi all, I just changed my old MGE ellipse for a evolution 850 (now eaton). I can connect using mge-shut (newmge-shut doesn't work). But I have a few issues. I lloked around on NUT web-site and googled with no luck. Using debian lenny on 2.6.18 kernel (due to some ISDN driver that doesn't work with earlier kernels) 1) the most annoying is that I cannot shutdown the UPS. here is a trace :

Xen status in lenny?
Hi, AFAIK, the status of Xen in lenny is currently the following: - no dom0 kernel - domU kernel only for i386 (no domU kernel for amd64) I was told (I don't remember where) that this is because the vanilla kernel only supports domU for i386, and has no dom0 support, so distros have to port the patches to their kernels (please correct me if I'm wrong). However: - etch shipped with dom0

Dear all, I may have overlooked something but the following piece of code causes me trouble: > a_data.frame(1:4) > a X1.4 1 1 2 2 3 3 4 4 > apply(a,2,cat) 1 2 3 4Error in ans[[1]] : subscript out of bounds > apply(a,1,cat) 1234NULL Is this the fact my data.frame has only one dimension ? (and do I forget somewhere (but where ?) to specify not to 'drop'
