DomainDnsZones bad magic
Thank you Andrew and Roland.
I appreciate it. I haven't built one for a few years. Last time I did so I
used a walk through that I think Lois Van Belle wrote. Is that still
available anywhere or is there another such walkthrough?

samba4 replication issues | sam.ldb inconsistency
Hi all,
We seem to have some issues with our samba4 ad setup. I posted about
this last week already but had received no replies at all so far. :-(
What is our situation:
two domain controllers (dc1 and dc2), one (separate) fileserver, all
running sernet-4.1.7. From the workstations perspective, everything is
running as it should, there appear to be no issues.
However: something in my

Samba4 AD Corrupted Member

Today i experienced a problem with my samba 4 AD.
I have a master(AD1) and a member(AD2) in a replicated environment.
I´ve just checked that my AD2 has some issues when i did this test:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ldbsearch --url=/usr/local/samba/private/sam.ldb '(invocationid=*)'
--cross-ncs objectguid

Issues joining DC
Dear all.
Let me make a shot brief of the issue I'm currently experiencing that
has been published in a couple of threads. Now I'm going to join them here.
Current scenario.
Centos7 running a Samba 4.6.5. Any kind of problem at client side, all
seems to runs fine. But in some cases the AD objects appears on Windows
clients as their SID instead of their name.

DomainDnsZones bad magic
I built another server, but now I'm getting replication errors. Everything
it's trying to replicate is the same, here's an example:
CN=Schema,CN=Configuration,DC=internal,DC=kcs
Default-First-Site-Name\DC02 via RPC
DSA object GUID: 4d32cff5-39ac-4709-852f-ae558a62c097

DNS problems in my domain
The users in our network are experiencing some dns problems.
When i take closer look to our samba configuration I see that we have a corrupted ldb file (/var/lib/samba/private/sam.ldb.d/DC=DOMAINDNSZONES,DC=********,DC=COM.ldb).
I can still access the DNS entries from the Microsoft remote server administration tools.
What are my best options?
I have a backup of the ldb files from 2 months

DLZ Backend DNS Hosed
I've been working on this problem for a few hours. Here are some updates:
Many of the domains I listed are duplicates of domains managed by other DNS servers on my network. There was no point in having them in Samba AD, so I deleted the zones in Windows DNS Manager and created slaves in my named.conf.local folder, so that they'd pull the records from my authoritative BIND DNS server,

DLZ Backend DNS Hosed
Hello,
I'm in trouble here with what appears to be a total meltdown of my DNS on my Domain Controllers.
I only have two DCs right now and I cannot resolve anything on either of them. I am on Ubuntu 16.04 with a compiled version of Samba 4.10.4.
I also have a compiled version of BIND 9.10.3-P4-Ubuntu <id:ebd72b3>
