Hey, Lance mentioned yum group install. This yum group capability makes the "server" CD's more versatile than the name implies -- you only need a broadband connection to get any kind of CentOS install you want. Start with a minimal install off the CD, and then use the yum group install to conveniently get the same install you could get off the 3 CD set (only more up to date).

If have a couple patches I found while looking at a panic I was seeing while unloading the nouveau module. Unloading the nouveau module on my optimus notebook machine causes the system to panic. This started occuring when moving from 4.4 to 4.14. These patches make it such that the system does not panic when unloading the module. 4.14 also requires commit 34112bf4935d ("drm/nouveau/fbcon:

Hi, I have 2 Sun T1000's running Solaris 10 and Sun Cluster 3.2. They are each connected to a fibre attached SATA RAID array which they use as data storage area for PC clients. Both servers are running Samba 3.0.25c. The problem I have is that when a PC client access a file via Samba running on server-a and another client accesses the same file via Samba on server-b no locking is happening.

I switched my file server's hard disks from a p-2 350 to a p-3 deley 1.1 ghz. I ran kudzu and it detected the new nic and unconfigured the old one. I may have messed up the static ip assignment because hte system is not able to do anything on the network. Hi folks, I have a curious problem when executing self extracting zip files from a samba share. Everything does work, but it is very very slow. Copying the .exe onto local disk (from the samba share) takes no time at all (500kb/sec). I would say it takes about 10 times as long to unzip when run directly from the samba share.
