really not sure why, but I really need to fix it. I am running 0.3.13.3. Here
is the mongrel.log file. Any ideas, things to look at, etc... is appreciated.
Thanks,
Carl

Mongrel 0.3.13.4 Pre-Release -- QUERY_STRING Fixed
Hello Everyone,
I just posted another pre-release of Mongrel that fixes a bug which
caused Mongrel to claim it was getting parsing errors because the
QUERY_STRINGs were too long. In actuality it was shift in the parser
that made empty queries (/test?) become negative. This is fixed up now.
Here''s the full list of changes:
* It has a couple of fixes for win32, but I still have to

Mongrel & irbrc
Why does mongrel_rails insist on loading ~/.irbrc with each request?
a) I''m curious why it loads it at all (I assume there''s no way of
getting an inline breakpointer??)
b) Why re-load it? It causes problems with any constants that are
used in .irbrc... (alternatively, how do I avoid re-assigning to a
constant?)

Speeding up ActiveRecord creation?
My completely empty model (no validation callbacks etc etc) takes an

Re-formatting email line breaks
I''m trying to re-flow email messages, removing the line breaks that
get added by mail programs so that the lines don''t exceed 72 characters.
Mail.app and Thunderbird seem to insert a space character before each
added line break.
Outlook replaces new lines in the email with double \n''s, then uses
single \n''s for the ''soft'' line breaks.

reshape help
Dear R users -
I have a list of patient identifiers and diagnoses from inpatient
admissions. I would like to reorganize the list, presently in a long
format to a wide format in reshape, but in the absence of a "time" element,
I am uncertain how to do this - any help greatly appreciated.

Broken installation of mongrel 0.3.13.4 on Sun OS 5.9
Hi,
Anyone succeeded in installing Mongrel on Sun Solaris? It looks like the
installation is broken. I have started using Mongrel recently and not sure
where to look when something is missing.
First the file http11.so was not installed in
/usr/local/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/mongrel-0.3.13.4/lib
I''ve resolved that and when tried to start mongrel from the command line I

Apache Proxy Error + Mongrel dying
Hi,
I''ve got to active project both running on the last Apache 2.2 and on
Mongrel 0.3.13.3.
One is running perfectly, the other gets (always on the same pages,
but not after each request, it seems to be random) a ProxyError every
now and then which leads to the mongrel process being called to die
and subsequently slowing down the whole web site.
I have to restart the mongrel

Mongrel process unexpectedly dying
We tried to give Mongrel a go running our application which has moderate
traffic. We got mongrel up and running easy enough but 3 times in a short
period(2hours) mongrel just died with the following error when we went live
to production with it. As you can see we are running mongrel-0.3.13.3.

Setup with Apache 2.2 proxy balancer : timeout during uploads
Hi all,
I encounter timeout errors during file uploads in my Rails application.
I think the problem may be in the Mongrel configuration. Here is my setup:
* Load balancer (Cisco CSM, my provider''s Catalyst 6509)
* Apache 2.2.3 with mod_proxy_balancer
* Mongrel 0.3.13.3
* Rails 1.1.6
* Ruby 1.8.4
* MySQL 5.0.22
* file_column
I host an application in which users may upload medium files

Getting an array of ids from form checkboxes?
Is it possible to set up a list of checkboxes so that the form
parameters are given in an array (eg {"delete_list" => [3,6,7]}) ?

html not rendering apache/mongrel
We are running Apache and Mongrel on RHEL4 and have been experiencing
some interesting behaivor. Sometimes when someone logs into our
application (it uses the acts_as_authencticaed and acl_system2) the
following happens. Instead of the browser rendering the html and
displaying all the form elements corretly as you would expect, it simple
spews back the output without attempting to render. So
