question about director_mail_servers setting
Hello,
I have a question about director_mail_servers setting for director, I am
aware that I can define a list of dovecot backend hostname there but I am
not sure if the hashing apply to the hostname or underlying IP address of
each hostname given? What if the IP of a specify hostname is changed? Will
director pickup the new IP automatically? Will the same user hashed into
the original IP still

adding servers to director_mail_servers
Is there a specific order in which one has to add servers to director_mail_servers, Let's say I have 20 loadbalanced director servers (I dont, but for arguments sake). I want to add 5 servers to director_mail_servers. If I do this by restarting each director server 1 by 1 with an updated conf, it seems the 5 new servers dont get added. Or at least I dont get what makes it work eventually.

director ignoring director_mail_servers for lmtp connections
Hello,
Following Jan-Frode's advise I am trying this configuration:
{postfix} ---lmtp---> {director} ---lmtp---> {dovecot}
so I have two dovecot instances for director/proxy and lmtp delivery on ports 1024 and 24 respectively.
whilst for imap connections I can specify a pool of imap backend servers via 'director_mail_servers' it seems is not possible with lmtp.

submission_host auth
When using dovecot container with sieve plugin there is no sendmail to use for sending email for sieve redirect action for example. We can use submission_host instead https://doc.dovecot.org/settings/core/#core_setting-submission_host but there is no way to specify credentials for auth in remote MTA. Submission_relay_* settings e.g. submission_relay_master_user relate to dovecot submission

submission_host auth
Thanks for the reply, postfix + dovecot sasl configured and working properly. My question is about "adding dovecot authentication when sending emails via submission_host".
Let's say we have dovecot + sieve plugin container.
Dovecot configured to use remote SMTP submission host to send messages:
submission_host = postfix.example.com:587
User foo at example.com has the following

[PATCH] drm/nouveau/kms/gf119-: allow both 256- and 1024-sized LUTs to be used
The hardware supports either size. Also add checks to ensure that only
these two sizes may be used for supplying a LUT.
Finally, experimental evidence suggests you can't mix sizes for degamma
and gamma. Disallow this as well.

Error: Mailbox INBOX: file_dotlock_create in directory /var/mail failed: Permission denied
Hi All,
We are running Round cube on top of dovecot and postfix as our email
echo system. Main problem we are facing is that, roundcube loads really
slow for big inboxes (~5000 emails). I found that, while it loads, imap
process goes high in terms of CPU utilization(~90%). I asked it in some
roundcube support group, They believe that it is related to dovecot not
roundcube. Can you shed any

PlayOnline Viewer Update to Version 1.17.01 Won't Display Font.
Hello,
I'm having a problem in which some of the fonts won't display while running
the PlayOnline Viewer for Final Fantasy XI. This occurred when I updated
today to version 1.17.01. I'm using wine-0.9.12 and before I updated, all
fonts would display. Anyone have any suggestions?

That would tend to dispel my worries, so it is possible that it is some
misconfiguration on Stefan's machine.
I know I once joined a DC and forgot the

Debian11 Samba backport and bind9
Hi Stefan,
I have exact that running: Samba 4.17.4 and bind 9.18 from the
bullseye-backports.
I my case "samba_dnsupdate --verbose --all-names" runs without any errors.
As like 9.16 I use the "dlz_bind9_18.so" entry in named.conf.
If you need further information to compare just ask.
Regards
Ingo
