feature-wish: "--ignore-unrelated-errors" option
Hi.
I looked high and low for the following feature of rsync but it does
not seem to be available, even though it would be really useful:
--ignore-unrelated-errors. The semantics should be the following:
when an I/O error is encountered while reading a directory foo/ (as
far as I understand, rsync only takes into account errors on
directories, not on individual files), no deletion should be

PXE boot hangs while transferring vmlinuz or initrd.img
Hi,
I have a user that is experiencing problems pxe booting several
identical servers. pxelinux.0 is from syslinux 3.63 and the TFTP
server is 0.42 running on CentOS 5.2.
After loading pxelinux.0, the client will then start transferring
vmlinuz and initrd.img via tftp. More than half the time, the
transfer will get stuck and then eventually print a timeout message.
I ran tcpdump and I can see

Problem with RMA using limma, oligo and pdInfoBuilder packages
Hi,
I am a Ph.D. student from Québec, Canada. I’m a beginner with R and
Bioconductor. Until now the only experience I have is in analyzing
microarray data using affy and limma packages. Now I am trying to analyze
Rat Gene 10 st arrays and I would like to run RMA analysis and Smyth
moderated t test on those arrays. Since no cdf official package is available
for those arrays, after reading many

Patch to add option-key menus (similar to SuSE patch)
I've written a patch to add option-key submenus to menu.c32 and
vesamenu.c32 for doing things like changing the video mode. This was
inspired the the patch that SuSE applies to the syslinux family and
Grub, without the ugly pseudo-PostScript spaghetti.
The patch may be found at
http://www.valleyhold.org/~gordons/syslinux-optmenus.diff (it's over

menu.c32 - Return from sub-menu
I am new to SYSLINUX/PXELINUX and it is great! Thanks!
Looking around the archives for uses/examples for the simple menu
(menu.c32) for our implementation (DOS boot with networking support for
various NICs), and it occurred to me that I might want to go back to the
main menu if I ended up in the wrong sub-menu. Also would be useful if
one needed to create multiple levels of menus and wanted to

PXELinux 3.11 vs 3.36
Hi,
Apologies in advance if this is rather long winded ...
I have a Windows 2000 DHCP/FTP/TFTP server, serving up a
linux-based diags package using PXELinux. Everything is
working fine, just like I'd expect.
I also have some WinImage images of DOS floppy disks that
I'd also like to serve via PXE. So I made up some simple
menus using menu.c32 to serve both the floppy image and the

Generate static menus?
I want to stack three horizontal menus on top of each other, and also
define exactly what page will be in each menu. What files and syntax
do I use in webgen to accomplish this? I tried finding the answer here
and in the docs but could not figure it out.
I would also like to style each menu a bit differently if that is
possible. Actual examples especially appreciated!
Thanks!

Problems when using latest git tree to boot xen on OMAP5
Hi Julien,
Since Ian has merged most my OMAP5 patches, I decide to try to update my working tree to it today. However, it seems it doesn't work as expected. There mainly two kind of problems that I met:
1. It seems that xen no longer maps some of io memory regions described in dts. For example, the memory regions in "ocp" node of omap5.dtsi.
2. commit c88d32f4 seems to be conflict

Wine and Gnome menus...
Hi all,
I've spent several days tinkering with Wine and have uncovered what seems to be a mess: Menus in Gnome for Wine applications...
I'm running Debian 4.0 (Etch) with a few backports, and Gnome 2.14.3.
I've progressed from the version of Wine that's in the Etch repositories, 0.9.25-2.1, through the one in backports, 1.0-rc1-1, to the current 1.1.1 from the WineHQ

Howto create a password for complex menus
Hello
I tried to make my own password hashes for the complex menu. For this, I
searched the SYSLINUX sources and the web and couldn't find any howto
about that. The only information was in the "password" file (max. 40Byte
with DES encryption). Unfortunatly, this was too few for me.
Can you please add to the documentation, that the hashes can be created
with OpenSSL ?

Sub-menus?
Hey guys,
I have been trying unsuccessfully to create a menu that holds "sub-menus".
To clarify, I want something along the lines of when you click on a File
menu, then see the "New" menu, which you can click on to open a new layer of
menus. Is this supported yet in WxRuby?

sub menus / multiple distros on usb key w/ syslinux
being a complete novice with syslinux, I was hoping someone here could
help me out.
I have a USB Key that I have "broken" into two areas. General storage in
the "back" and space for several live distributions on the front. What I
need to do now is figure out how to make a syslinux.cfg file that would
let me pick which one to boot at startup time.
Basically, I want a menu

Replace brick of a dead node
Hi!
Seeking pardon from the experts, but I have a basic usage question that I could not find a straightforward answer to.
I have a two node cluster, with two bricks replicated, one on each node.
Lets say one of the node dies and is unreachable.
I want to be able to spin a new node and replace the dead node's brick to a location on the new node.
The command 'gluster volume

Re: SYSLINUX Digest, Vol 33, menu.c32 chaining
Hello,
many of our platforms do not have a integrated floppy, some even don''t have a floppy controller. As pxelinux still has a problem with machines without a floppy in combination with some bios versions I need to chainload a different bootstrap loader which works on the floppyless platforms. But I also need to load a BartPE and the other BS loader does not support that. So I tried to
