dumpfile with libshout2/icecast2
Heyas,
I'm trying to get setDumpfile working with the java libshout bindings.
I am calling shout_set_dumpfile(shout,char*) after specifying the port,
host, mount and password, yet, the dumpfile is not created on the server
side. To be more specific, I'm trying this:
bin/streamAdmin -d /tmp/test.mp3 -h streams.benow.ca -p 80 -P pass -m
/benow
which sets the dumpfile to be /tmp/test.mp3

dumpfile with libshout2/icecast2
Thanks for the reply, Mike.
Is there currently any way to accomplish the same thing (ie, recording
of a dumpfile for a mount for a given duration) with icecast2 as it
stands? Perhaps through the admin interface, or via a config change and
reload? I'm surprised this feature has not been more requested, it
would certainly be welcome here.
If not, no biggie, I could just use a local

Blowfish issues with somewhat big files
Hi,
I've encrypted some database dumps with
openssl bf -d -in dumpfile.bf -out dumpfile -k mykey
bad decrypt

decrypt:evp_enc.c:325:
The weird thing is if I do the same with smaller files it can decrypt
with no problem. I use openssl-0.9.8e-12.el5 on Centos 5.4.
Please could you tell me what I am doing wrong?

Still plugging away at the repo conversion
This is taking longer than I expected, because there is all kinds of
cvs2svn-generated ugliness in your back history that tends to crash
my tools. Your repo makes a great test case. (Yes, I know, that's like
having someone say "Your dog is fantastically ugly!")
Current state of things is that I have scrapped my precious approach,
which was to put the Subversion tools in a Python

Shorewall, TPROXY, Transparent Squid and Multiples ISP
Hello,
I wonder if someone could use the TPROXY with Shorewall and
transparent Squid with using the routing rules on shorewall
(tcrules) for hosts / networks (LAN) with multiples providers (WANs)
directly from the internal network on port 80 (with TPROXY
transparent squid or REDIRECT).
On this issue, the routing rules is not work propertly because the

shorewall restart with keepalived (redundant firewalls)
Hello,
First , thanks to Tom for it''s great job ! Netfilter is really easy
and powerfull with shorewall.
So, I have configured two firewalls whith shorewall using keepalived
for the redundant VRRP stuff.
FW-a is MASTER and FW-b is BACKUP.
Everything works correctly and FW-b upgrade to MASTER when FW-a is
down or disconnected. FW-b downgrade to BACKUP when FW-a comes back.
But when I

High-Availability shorewall
Hi all!
I think I remember there have discussion on this topic on this
mailinglist a while ago.
But the archives don''t find anything.
Did anyone here set up a configuration with shorewall and heartbeat
or vrrpd or ucarp?
What would you prefer? Any experiences with failover times, setup
problems etc? Good documentation on this?
Thanks,
Christian

ipsec nat-traversal
It seems to me that ipsecnat tunnel type is not complete.
Latest drafts of ipsec nat-traversal use udp port 4500 for nat-traversal
communications. (It''s called port floating). That is needed to get rid
of ugly ipsec passthru devices.
Now ipsecnat opens port udp/500 from any source port.
And I think ipsecnat won''t work at all with gw zone defined? I''m not
sure about

I would like to "convert" this distribution into a log normal distribution that would best describe it when resimulated using log normal distribution. Currently I am using another software to estimate the respective mean and SD on the log scale and the results are: 1.6667

restart w/o interrupting
Hi!
I am looking for suggestions how I can add rules (or change the
configuration otherwise) without interrupting of services.
Right now, when I need to do a ''shorewall restart'' all services are
not available during this time.
I tried playing with the ''routestopped'' parameter but without success.
How do you get around this?
Thanks in advance,
Christian

Basical question to asterisk
Hello!
I'm new to asterisk and because I try to configure the package for my
needs the last days without success, I'd like to ask a basical qestion.
I need asterisk to work together with the German VoIP provider sipgate
(http://www.sipgate.de). Asterisk should act as a softphone, I want to
recive and make calls only with the software under linux, no softphone
should be used. Is this
