modules not processing in order
Hello there I''m just testing a module (see merging directories) and it is quite involved, in that it: __generic__ 1) creates a user 2) creates a base directory 3) copies generic files (directory with recursion) 4) generate a configuration file from a template 5) creates a symlink __os specific__ 6) copies os specific files (in my scenario two folders, and an init script) 7)

Anyone have a Brother multifunction working on Centos 7?
I have a Brother MFC 7360N, and it is refusing to print. Given a job, the printer state shows, "Sending data to printer"; the file is in the spool dir; the job queue is empty, and nothing more happens. I had used the Brother driver installer, and ran into a 32-bit problem. The rpm runs braddprinter, which fails looking for /lib/ld-linux.so.2. I don't know what braddprinter does,

HP vs. Brother Printers: Use with Centos/Fedora
We currently have a Brother MFC-5490CN. Printer firmware is dated June 1010. (yeah, 10 years old). Few years ago the brother software wouldn't work for printing under Fedora. No problem, can print under Windows 10. Then it stopped scanning. Could still print...under Windows. Now, to fix the scanning features working I installed updated drivers under Windows, now it scans like champ, but

brother printers VS systemd
I've used Brothers printer driver installer tool to install drivers on C7 for a DCP7650DN. Cups thinks printing is working fine, but nothing ever arrives at the printer: the printer remains asleep. Looking at some of the setup instructions for the brother driver, it looks as if it wants a symbolic link of /etc/init.d/cups to /etc/init.d/lpd. neither of those exists in a systemd system, so

Brother HL-L2360DW printing quality
I have the above printer but have not been able to resolve issues with the printing quality in CentOS 7. The test page prints fine but when I print PDF-documents, most recently using Chinese fonts, it is lacking and the pages very hard to read. The settings in the Mate Cups configuration panel are fine and set to 600 dpi, the settings in the printer menu are all OK yet it prints more like maybe

HP vs. Brother Printers: Use with Centos/Fedora
Our office has had a Brother MFC-8510DN for at least five years - no issues. As has been said below, you do have to download and install the driver but the process hasn't been problematic. Having said that, I haven't pushed the limit on it's capabilities, just done rather plain printing. ________________________________ From: CentOS <centos-bounces at centos.org> on behalf of

help seeing DMZ from LOC
I have a three interface network (net, loc, dmz). The internet interface (eth0) has a static IP. Windows machine in the local network (eth1) use DHCP to get IPs from the 192.168.10.0/24 netblock. The Debian machine in the DMZ (eth2) gets a fixed IP through DHCP in the 192.168.11.0/24 netblock. The DHCP server is running on the firewall machine (not ideal, I know, but that''s the way

config question for proxyarp hosts?
I''ve got a serious mess of NAT on our firewall/router systems at the corporate office which seems to do nothing other than confuse the heck out of people. What I''d like to do is gradually migrate the hosts on the various DMZ networks away from private IP addresses and NAT over to public IP addresses and proxyarp. What I''m wondering, before I start this, is how do I
