[LLVMdev] JIT on armhf, again
Hello,
Last year I tried --- and failed --- to generate float-heavy ARM code
via the JIT on an armhf platform. No matter what I did, it would always
generate armel code instead. This was on LLVM 3.2, which was all that
was available then.
Now I'm running into a requirement to do this again: while it's much
less crashy than it was, I still can't seem to persuade the JIT to
generate

How do I do this? (I can't find any examples, and the API is decidedly
unclear...)

Well, it's *almost* working --- hardfloat code is now being generated,
and it even seems to be right

armv7-linux-gnueabihf, as suggested; and if I use llc -mtriple then the
code compiles to:
vstr s0, [r0]
bx lr
...which I would consider correct. (What's more interesting is *without*
specifying the triple

BizConf at Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island Resort, August 20-21
[Apologies for the slightly-off-topic posting.]
BizConf is a one-of-a-kind event that I am hosting about 3 months from
now here in northern Florida. It''s a 2-day conference specifically
crafted for independent consultants and owners/managers of small to
mid-sized web consultancies. Because of who I am and the audience I
can reach, I expect the majority of the attendees to be involved

logging into user mailboxes with admin credentials
Hey folks,
We are planning a migration away from Dovecot (sorry) to Google Apps and
are trying to figure out how to migrate the contents of user mailboxes
to the new provider. Normally we would use an IMAP migration tool to log
into each user's mailbox on the old and new providers and transfer the
data that way.
However, there is no central directory service; all accounts are local.

How to make a nomogam and Calibration plot
Dear R users,
I am a new R user and something stops me when I try to write a academic
article. I want to make a nomogram to predict the risk of prostate cancer
(PCa) using several factors which have been selected from the Logistic
regression run under the SPSS. Always, a calibration plot is needed to
validate the prediction accuracy of the nomogram.
However, I tried many times and read a lot of

OFF TOPIC: Nature article on File Drawer Problem in Reserach
Dear Bert,
You have made my day!! Your post is a great help and very useful in my
field.
The paper is not among the off-the-shelf research output. Some of us, who
get into unenviable conflict and disputation with some reverenced
authorities in our field, understand the weight of the article. I had not
even consumed half of it before I decided to thank you. I will quickly go

beginner programming question
Hi all,
The last e-mails about beginners gave me the courage to post a question;
from a beginner's perspective, there are a lot of questions that I'm
tempted to ask. But I'm trying to find the answers either in the
documentation, either in the about 15 free books I have, either in the
help archives (I often found many similar questions posted in the past).
Being an (still actual)

Sending bulk SMS messages from Rails app
Hi,
One of my model generates short messages that has to be delivered to
mobile phones as SMS''s. I am not sure how to proceed from here.
1. What are the components I would need?
2. Do I need a GSM modem? If yes how would it integrate with my app?
3. Does my hosting provider needs to have a GSM modem?
4. Does sending an SMS cost anything? If yes how much would a single SMS cost?

G.729 codec doesn't seem to work *even* after installing the license
Hi,
I am trying to post this again as I am getting no answers and the
support@digium.com bounces...
(I have searched the whole list and can't find the answer either)
I have installed a 5 user license for G.729 and want to route calls through
Asterisk from my G.729 phone to Cisco AS5300 also using G729.
Both Cisco and the phone connect using this codec if I do not force the call

Installation of libvirt on Ubuntu
Dear all,
I wonder if libvirt can work on Ubuntu.
As you know, it is very convenient to install libvirt on Fedora. I can download the libvirt packet from libvirt.org and install it using command ./configure, make and make install.
As I am going to install an open source simulation system named openairinterface, Ubuntu is the recommended OS, and I want to install the simulation system in libvirt

Thanks!
Hello,
I just recently switched my system from a BincIMAP/vpopmail to a
Dovecot/vpopmail system, and I have to say: thanks!
There were really only two things I had to patch Dovecot to do: first,
provide statistics on network usage, and second, to allow folders to
be LIST'd/SELECT'd/etc. with a trailing separator (to satisfy my pine
users). If anyone's interested, I can generate a
