nodejs based website
Hello,
I am trying to setup a node.js based website called 'hummingbird'.
It's a monitoring package that you can read about here:
http://projects.nuttnet.net/hummingbird/
My question is when I hit the site all I see is a directory listing
http://107.21.183.42/hummingbird/
Similar to what would happen if you went to a php site without php
being configured in apache with the

[LLVMdev] is anyone using the sparc backend?
Chris,

X11 font at size 6 could not be loaded
I recently upgraded my OS to Fedora 8 from Red Hat Enterprise Work Station 3.
Before I upgraded certain operations would produce a warning to the effect that
a desired font was not available so one had been substituted, which was okay.
After the upgrade to Fedora 8, the plotting operation halts midway through and I
get the following error message:
"X11 font at size 6 could not be loaded"

gfortran: Command not found
Hi, All:
How do I get information about the "R CMD check / build / install"
process, especially regarding what software to install and how to
configure it under Windows XP?
I ask, because "R CMD check" complained, "gfortran: Command not
found". I found 'gfortran-sjlj.exe' in 'C:\Program
Files\R\Rtools\MinGW\bin', which is in the

Stripping/Prevent CRLF
I thought I had read somewhere that you can prevent the adding of the ^M's
when copying a file to a samba share. (Such as doing an ascii ftp) Now I
cannot find where I read this. I have a constant need to transfer excel
files containing data to be uploaded and want to use samba to get these to
the server. Can this be configured into Samba. I am using 2.0.6 on Solaris
2.6. When using

there are three sparc buildbots which are hooked up to lab.llvm.org. They are
currently idle because no builders have been scheduled to use them:

Reverse Mapping
Hello,
I have recently installed Samba on my Sun Fire V-440 Solaris 8 Unix server
and it works fine to map drives from my PC (late model running Windows XP
Professional)(on a large LAN) to the shares on the Unix server.
However, what I have a need for is to be able to map the other direction.
Basically, need to sit at my PC at my desk, far from the server, load a CD
into the CD-ROM drive of the

Rcmd SHLIB under NT
Hello:
I'm trying to use Rcmd SHLIB to compile a single file, sann.c, to
get sann.dll.
I was able to get
make libR.a
to work, after going into MkRules and changing the line
DLLTOOL=$(BINPREF)dlltool -k --as $(AS)
to read
DLLTOOL=C:/MINGW-1.1/bin/dlltool -k --as $(AS)
But now I get:
C:\rw1051\src\gnuwin32>Rcmd SHLIB sann.c
make: make: Command not found

Windows clients aren't synching profiles
Hi. I used to have samba set up on a Fedora Core 3 server that acted as a
PDC for a dozen Windows XP clients. I hade roaming profiles working fine.
Then I decided to upgrade (reformat) to Fedora Core 6 for the added harware
support. I didn't save the right files and hosed my roaming profile (SID
issue, I guess). Now I'm remaking the PDC on Fedora Core 6. I'll start

Error with 1.9.0 - Invalid HOMEDRIVE
I installed R project 1.9.0 on Windows XP. The installation went well.
Then, I rebooted. Next, I clicked the icon under Programs in the Start
menu and received this error, "Fatal Error: Invalid HOMEDRIVE". I
clicked OK to the error message. The program does not start. I went to
a DOS prompt and did "echo %HOMEDRIVE%" and it returned "C:". This

Hello:
Many thanks to Professor Ripley for responding to my earlier post, included below, about trying to use mingw32 gcc.I did put back the original Rinternals.h. I am still crashing R every time I try to use C code.
Here is what I did, basd on readme.packages:
1.) Ensured that C:\Rtools was first in my path, and obtained a new tools.zip from BDR's R tools site.
2.) Ensured that I

mono fonts (was RE: RE: [R] SAS or R software)
Ah, I'm using Exceed Hummingbird 7.1 as the X server....
It does have fixed width fonts, and it is happy with variable width fonts up
to this extreme ....
A little more fiddling shows that this succeds with a linux based X11
server, and that even
plot(1,1)
par(family="mono",cex=8)
text(1,1,"foo")
segfaults.
I've tested values of cex. Anything above 2.1249

deleting symlinks only
hello list,
is it possible to delete a symlinked directory over a samba-share, without deleting
it's content but leaving the link-target as it is and deleting the
symlink only? If I interpret samba's behaviour correctly, on deletion samba does not
recognize the link as a link but as a directory, descends into it and deletes the
content recursively, finally tries to delete the directory

Samba Usage (University especially)
Our usage of Samba is being questioned with regards to being "non-standard"
as against Windows NT servers. As the Samba Survey has been defunct for
a while, I wonder if:
a) there is any suitable advocacy document listing large and famous users
of Samba?
b) If not I would be happy to summarise responses from those prepared to go
public. I am especially interested in Universities and
