Anyone with spare DDR2 ECC FBDIMMs?
Hi all, As part of getting the remaining services up on the machine that is supposed to run the Syslinux website and a few others, I would like to factor away some services in VMs, which is great except it is expensive for memory. As such, if there is anyone around who has spare DDR2 ECC FBDIMMs in 2 GB or even better 4 GB densities that they wouldn't mind parting with, it would be really

RESEND: Implement reclocking for DDR2, DDR3, GDDR3
This resend fixes intermediate compilation issues, thus unbreaking git bisect. In addition fixed a little thinko in nouveau_memx_wait, that transformed waits into either sleeps or nops. I didn't bother labelling patches v2, I hope you don't mind! :-) Roy

RESEND 8/8: DDR2 MR generation
Sometimes boot scripts leave the "DLL reset" bit on, but it shouldn't be set on every MR write. V2 addresses this by forcing DLL reset off in MR generation

Updating/Backing Up Server
I am slowly migrating the data etc off an old CentOS32 4.x server to a new CentOS64 5.x server. The old server only has 15Gbyte of its hard drive in use. Is there an easy/safe way to copy the entire contents of old server root directory to a directory on the new server for future reference? Most of the data is various test files, perl scripts, etc. scattered all over.

[Gig] Open Source Public Relations Expert Wanted
My client is launching a new open source trouble ticket system. The system was written using Ruby on Rails and uses the latest rich web application features such as Ajax. They have no PR budget so we are looking for someone who can use their contacts in the software field to get writers to cover our product. Someone who has experience pitching bloggers would be a plus. This is a contract

Segmentation Fault on Large (over 2 gig) file from Win2k client to Win2k daemon.
I am trying to sync some large (greater than 2 gigabytes) files, pushing them from a Win2k client to a Win2k machine running the rsync daemon. Both machines have the CYGWIN environmental variable set to ntsec. Below is the full session. There is only one file in the MyDatabase directory on the client, but it's 2.2 gig. Once I get this working, I want to set it up to exclude files in that

no group package selection via PXE network installation
I'm trying to install centos 6.4 on my server A (which has 512 MB ram and no cdrom) by PXE. I exported installation tree 'CentOS-6.4-i386-bin-DVD1.iso' via http on server 'Z', all according to Centos howto (copied vmlinuz, pxelinux.cfg, initrd.img , started tftpd+dhcpd services) Boot process is OK (in text mode! I think it's a memory problem); it's required keyboard

To try and recreate your setup we put an old 3ware controller in a machine with 6GB and have been hitting it

Gig with Adaptive Path
Adaptive Path is looking for a FreeBSD expert to help us wrangle a couple of FreeBSD servers into an orderly bunch. This short term contract requires that you love FreeBSD and like setting up web servers that will experience significant load while requiring high availability to boot. In addition to server setup, you will help plan for the future by advising the project technical lead on

centos rsync paths: cobbler
am using cobbler to import via rsync -and having trouble munging paths properly to download the 64-bit dvd or others, -what's a known good rsync path to use, or a command line that would allow me to determine this myself? When I use the web browsers of course and go to centos.org, you'll get the usual "not a suppoorted protocol" when clicking around trying to isolate a good

segfaults with 8 gig of ram
Hello All. I have five Centos 4.4 x86_64 (amd fx-62) boxes with 4 gig of Corsair dual channel ram running kernel 2.6.9-42.0.10.EL (smp). The sixth box is the same except for video card and ram. It is using 8gig of GSkill dual channel ram and has a very cheap ATI video card in it. This box will segfault on boot unless I use noapic acpi=off and nolapic. Even with these boot params, the box is not

Locally attached disk is seen, 40 gig PATA in USB enclosure is not.
Hi Folks, When I boot ISOLinux, the locally attached disk is visible but the PATA 40 Gig in a USB attached enclosure is not. The locally attached disk has no bearing on what I am doing and to avoid confusion will not be mentioned again. Everything is happening on the 40 Gig. Let me explain. The goal is: Copy an installation iso to the disk, boot the disk and install it on that disk. I have

e1000 gig nic howto?
We have a 10Gbps connection to our server so I need to be able to create VMs using the faster e1000 nics instead of the default Realtek 100Mbps ones but I''m not sure how to go about it. Is there a walkthrough or "howto" or can someone point me at some simple instructions? I''m using xen-3.0.3-105.el5_5.5 and Centos 5.5 kernel 2.6.18-194.32.1.el5.centos.plusxen VMs are
