Hi there,
I''m running Xen 3.2.1-rc1-pre on a Ubuntu 8.0.4 server (kernel 2.6.24-19-xen).
I have some network cards which are passed through to the DomUs.
''Normally'' everything works quite well. but sometimes when a DomU

PXE problem after CentOS reboot
Dear folks,
We are installing a large diskless cluster using CentOS 5.1. The
hardware is pretty new - Supermicro X7DWT boards with Harpertown CPUs.
Unfortunately we have some PXE-related problems described by the
following scenario:
1) Set up DHCP, TFTP and NFS on a server, prepare PXE kernel and initrd
- fine.
2) Start up the node using PXE for the first time - fine.
3) Reboot the node - PXE

hw question: asus dsbf-de sata ports?
Hello List,
I'm hoping someone else out there has an Asus DSBF-DE server board,
and can tell me if anything special needs to be done to get ports 5
and 6 of the onboard SATA to work under Centos 5.1 x64.
I have drives on 1 through 4 that are detected and working properly,
however, a drive on 5 is not detected, from what i can tell, the
kernel doesn't even see phy's for ports 5 and 6.

Problem passing a HP-DAT (USB) device to domU (fwd) (this time with outputs!)
(lspci-output added at the end of this mail!)
Hi specialists,
I''m trying to pass an HP Surestore USB-drive to a domU. I''m hiding the
pci-device in the dom0, and capturing it in the domU. Although this works
fine I receive the following lines in /var/log/syslog of the dom0 after a
reboot

IPMI Console: No luck once OS is booted
I have a current RELENG_7 running on:
http://www.supermicro.com/products/system/4U/7045/SYS-7045B-TR+.cfm
with the -3+ IPMI card.
I can interact with the BIOS, etc, but no joy once we get past the loader.
Anyone have ideas?
Attached is the kernel config, and the /var/run/dmesg.boot file.

PCI Mapping of e1000 Dual-Port Adapter to DomU
Hello,
I´m trying to map one network interface of a Dual-Port e1000 Server

to a DomU (firewall). In Dom0 the adaper is seen with lspci as:

Controller Copper (rev 01)
06:00.1 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 631xESB/632xESB DPT LAN

Forensics related ZFS questions
1. Does variable FSB block sizing extend to files larger than record
size, concerning the last FSB allocated?
In other words, for files larger than 128KB, that utilize more than one
full recordsize FSB, will the LAST FSB allocated be ''right-sized'' to fit
the remaining data, or will ZFS allocate a full recordsize FSB for the
last ''chunk'' of the file? (This is

FreeBSD 10 Beta 2: make installkernel failure with installer provided ZFS configuration.
Hi,
I was trying to rebuild world on a FreeBSD 10 test system, that I had just
installed. ZFS root was setup. I let the installation program do all the
ZFS setup and configuration. I put root on a 5 disk encrypted raidz array.
Besides the installer configuring 5 times the amount of swap space I asked
for (asked for 8gb, installer put 8gb on each drive, for 40gb in total.)
everything was working

xeon quad core?
Can anyone share their experience with installing RHEL / Centos
(latest production release) on the Dell 2950 (or 2900) with the
quad-core e5310 processor? Does anyone know what chipset Dell is
using on this box?
I've got one on the way, and I'm hoping to use centos as the 'host' OS
for several virtual machines (some of them Windows pigs), running
vmware server.

expire plugin + --exec-mail in 1.2.6 version
Hello list,
After upgrade to dovecot version 1.2.6 I have noticed some quota malfunctions(users become often overquota). Looking at logs closely I have found that quota value resets to general dovecot-config(
quota = maildir:Mailbox quota
quota_rule = *:storage=500M
quota_rule2 = Trash:storage=10%%
), after dovecot --exec-mail ext /usr/libexec/dovecot/expire-tool.sh command. The problem that

FreeBSD 7-STABLE, isp(4), QLE2462: panic & deadlocks
Hello everybody,
we recently got three Dell PowerEdge servers equipped with Qlogic
QLE2462 cards (dual FC 4Gbps ports) and an EMC CLARiiON CX3-40 SAN.
The servers with the FC cards were successfully and extensively
tested with an older SUN StorEdge T3 SAN.
However, when we connect them to the CX3-40, create and mount a new
partition and then do something as simple as "tar -C /san -xf

Public folder subscriptions with Outlook
This is more an Outlook issue than Dovecot, but given that it is connected to
Dovecot I figured there would be a good pool of knowledge here that increases
the likelihood that somebody knows the answer :)
I have a Dovecot server setup with a public folder and keep getting complaints
that Outlook users don't see new folders created by other people. In

FreeBSD 10 & default_vsz_limit causing reboots?
Update.? Only a single reboot has occurred since changing
defalt_vsz_limit from 384M to 512M.? It would seem that something the
users are doing is causing that virtual memory size to be exceeded
(possibly a mailbox search?), and when that occurs Dovecot/FreeBSD is not
handling the event as smoothly as expected.
Here's my dmesg for more basic info.

Need 3.3v 64 PCI Booard with 800FSB (for ordinary Pentium4, not Xeon)
Just spended ~ hour googling - all boards are based on GC-XX or I750X
Chipsets - all for Xeons. There also some boards for Pentium 3.
Can someone point me to a board with 64Bit 3.3v PCI for ordinary P4 with
800Mhz FSB.
Thanks
