[R-pkgs] New R package on CRAN: sfadv (v 1.0.1)
Dear R users,
I am happy to announce that the R package 'sfadv: Advanced Methods for
Stochastic Frontier Analysis' is now available on CRAN
(https://CRAN.R-project.org/package=sfadv).
This package allows stochastic frontier analysis with advanced methods.
Particularly it implements newly developped method proposed by Latruffe
et al. (2017) <doi:10.1093/ajae/aaw077> considering

Would one of the list admins PLEASE remove this guy from the list?
I've been getting NDRs from him for as long as I can remember...

pigeonhole ereject vs reject
Currently pigeonhole supports reject which would generate a NDR for each message. (If I understand the current documentation)
Using Dovecot LMTP it would be more optimal to kick a 5xx back to the primary MTA to reject the delivery rather than generating more back scatter NDRs.
Anyone know if this is possible now (to forgo the NDR)'s or do we need to wait for ereject ? If so, how much work

HELP FOR COMPUTING ENVIRONMENTAL EFFICIENCY INDEX/ LUENBERGER INDEX
Dear Members
I am Writing to you because I need help to compute the Malmquist Luenberger index with R with my panel data of 10 central Africa countries from the year 1980 to 2008. I have three inputs and 2 outputs which one is undesirable (CO2) and the other (GDP for agriculture is the desirable one).
Is it possible for you to guide me through the right code which could help me to compute it?

R package checking error.
Dear useRs,
I am trying to build my package (nonpareff) which deals with some models of
data envelopment analysis.
The building worked well, but checking complains when it tests examples.
Zipped nonparaeff.Rcheck is attached.
Following is the log.

New package: bridgedist (v 0.1.0)
R Users,
The d/p/q/r functions for the bridge distribution are now available in
bridgedist.
When a random intercept follows the bridge distribution, as detailed in

Question
We were looking at conducting a pilot program with Dell to virtualize our lab environments. We are specifically looking at Dell/Citrix provisioning servers. The OS in this setup is streamed from the server on every boot. I was curious if the R Project had any licensing stipulations in this type of setup. This is in the beginning phases and we wanted to answer some questions about licensing.

Tutorials and scripts of Stochastic Frontier Analysis and Linear Programming.
Dear all,
I want to program my own models about Stochastic Frontier Analysis and
Linear programming (Data Envelopment Analysis). In this context, is there
anyone that may help me with some simple tutorials and scripts about these
issues?
Thanks a lot.

Suggestion for updating `p.adjust` with new method (BKY 2006)
Dear R contributors,
I suggest adding a new method to `p.adjust` ("Adjust P-values for Multiple
Comparisons",
https://stat.ethz.ch/R-manual/R-devel/library/stats/html/p.adjust.html).
This new method is published in Benjamini, Krieger, Yekutieli 2016 Adaptive
linear step-up procedures that control the false discovery rate
(Biometrika). https://doi.org/10.1093/biomet/93.3.491

bug with boot.sw98 function (PR#8999)
Full_Name: Nuno Monteiro
Version: 2.3.1
OS: Windows XP HE
Submission from: (NULL) (84.9.38.207)
I'm using the FEAR library to perform Data Envelopment analysis with a 36,000
obs dataset.
The function dea is working fine but then when I try to use the boot.sw98 to
come up with some sensitivity analysis I get the following error:

bad email address
Every time I send a message to this list, I get a bounced email reply
from some Russian exchange server for email address xlino@bvpress.ru.
Is there an admin or a moderator for this list that can remove that
email address from the list?

Deleting for() loop in function
Dear UseRs,
I wrote following function in order to solve Data Envelopment Analysis.
Reason for posting is that the function is slow when nrow(dat) is large.
I wonder if other functions could substitute the for() loop in the
code, such as mapply().
Can anybody help to rewrite the dea() function as efficiently as
possible?
The code is as follows:

Estimation in a changepoint regression with R
Dear All,
I'm trying to do the estimation in a changepoint regression problem via R, but never found any suitable function which might help me to do this.
Could someone give me a hand?on this matter?
Thank you.

confirming a formula for use with lmer
Hello,
I recently began using R and the lme4 package to carry out linear mixed
effects analyses.
I am interested in the effects of variables 'prime','time', and 'mood'
on 'reaction_time' while taking into account the random effect
'subjects.' I've read through documentation on lme4 and came up with the
following formula for use with lmer:

voicemail to email sending problems
I have a box that will send to my personal pop/web based email but will not send to my exchange server. I have checked the MX record and DNS settings. I know there is something you can do like this to check it but it returns either a -1 or 0 (have no idea what that means)

Variable selection in NLME or LME4
Good morning
I am learning about NLME and LME4, using Pinheiro and Bates and other materials from Douglas Bates, but I have not seen anything on how to do variable selection sensibly in this type of model.
In OLS regression, I frequently use the lasso, but googling did not reveal a method for lasso with mixed models.
Most of the material I've seen on these packages is about models with very
