htthost proxy
I recently installed Shorewall 2.0.9 onto my RedHat 9 linux system running the latest 2.4 kernel. I think I have everything working except for passive mode stuff and IRC DCC and fserve stuff. I am reading the postings and files and so, I hope I can figure those things out on my own. My question pertains to a proxy tunnel (httport) and host (htthost) that I use. The htthost is in my local zone

fxp multicast forwarding problems
Hi, Whilst doing some QA work on XORP on my desktop, which has fxp0 and msk0, fxp0 got totally hosed. I was running PIM-SM and IGMPv2 router-mode on the box at the time. I wonder if this is related to the problems with fxp multicast transmission I saw back in April. I'm a bit concerned about this as fxp is still a very widespread and useful network chip. I am running

recent stability problems with fxp driver
I've spent the past four days or so updating machines here to 4.8/9-stable via cvsup, and have done a complete make buildworld/kernel on each machine (some SMP, some single processor). It seems something is broken with the latest fxp driver, on each machine (different mobos and hardware configs) heavy network traffic with fxp NICs causes timeouts and random kernel panics. First machine to

fxp: stalled transfers
Hello, after upgrading my system from 7.1-RELEASE to recent RELENG_7 I noticed stalled network transfers in certain cases. I have an Intel PRO/100 ethernet adapter (card=0x00408086 chip=0x12298086 rev=0x0c). In general networking works fine. I can ping hosts, surf on websites and so on. But if I send large files (>1 MB) to my server the transfer stalls after a few kilobytes. This concerns FTP

Wine and NT Authentification core.
Hi, I wonder if it's possible to setup wine so that applications using NT Authentification (NTLM) (secur32.dll and security.dll) may work ? I'm trying the radmin tools and the win32 computer that are using radmin use the NT security protocol to allow login. Actually i've tried using WINEDEBUG='warn+all' and WINEDEBUG='+loaddll' to replace the core dll of windows

fxp damages dmesg?
Motherboard ASUS CUSL2-C with 815EP chipset and two Intel 82559 Pro/100 Ethernet cards exibits the following. dmesg reports usual text only a few seconds after reboot. Later it displays a single line with a fragment of ipfw log, e.g. 167 213.131.11.152 in via fxp0 which seems to change with each new activity of ipfw. Files /var/log/dmesg.today and /var/log/dmesg.yesterday rotate daily as usual

CPU consumption by samba
Hi, I'm having strange performance problems with samba and an application written with VisualFox Pro. This application is entirely installed in a Windows share and it has a hystory of strange phenomenons. Initially it ran fast on an old NT server (but that server has been replaced). It has strange performance problems with Windows 2000 Server: it runs fast with some servers and slow with

NFS problem?
Hi, I noticed that my 4.8R box seems to have a NFS problem. I use a FreeBSD/i386 4.8R box as a NFS server, and a FreeBSD/i386 5-CURRENT (as of today) as the NFS client. On the client, /a (on the server) can be mounted successfully with -o rw,bg,intr, mntudp options. However, when a large amount of write operations such as "cp -r /home/ncvs /a" are performed on the client, the

RAdmin
New to wine. Joined the list but never got wine to work with FreeBSD. Installed SuSE 9.1 and installed office. I was blown away. It works! Anyway, I use a program called RAdmin to remote administer Win machines. I can run the program, and get into a Win machine, but the keyboard commands don't work on the Win machine. The mouse does. Any thoughts? I can also RAdmin into the linux

Desktop=XxY broken?
i used to use application, called RAdmin, with earlier versions of wine (prior 0.9.11). it works pretty well with oprtion Desktop="1024x768". but now in winecfg this option is grayed out and setting HKCU/Sofware/Wine/AppDefaults/radmin.exe/X11 Driver/Desktop registry key to "1024x768" doesn't work. and without this option keyboard doesn't work on remote hosts. --
