Disabling IPv6 in Centos 4.x Experiences
Hi there, While I was looking "how to disable ipv6 under centos" I have found a gazzillion pages about how to do it and some of then even list things that i am not sure where they came from, so for the record I list most of them here in case someone else need them. Some of the methods involved the direct modification of system scripts, and I am against that so I wont list them here

simple routing query
Hi, I have 2 interfaces - one for adsl and other for LAN on my Linux gateway machine. The IP addresses are 10.10.10.3 & 192.168.10.101 respectively. Now my routing tables show this particular entry. What exactly is this? 169.254.0.0/16 dev eth0 scope link Or by traditional route -n, 169.254.0.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.0.0 U 0 0 0 eth0 What exactly is this 169.254.0.0/16

However I am trying to use SFTP via a different port number and have no luck even though Putty works well. Is there anything weird to sftp and shorewall? My lab uses a different firewall (firestarter) and it works OK. I am using; DNAT net

Hi For years (long time) I had " net.ifnames=0 biosdevname=0 " and it worked as it should (6.X, 7.X) I never had any problems, until yesterday. I started upgrading my machines and I stopped after the first one showed issues and I will not update all the other ones until this is sorted. Tabbing OpenGL War3
Hi guys, so I want to run War3 on Wine. I've managed to resolve all issues, but I've come to a last one that I've yet to find a solution to. If I alt-tab out of the game, it goes in a state like in the image below.
