printing between two networks
Hi,
in my network are two locally subnets.
Now I want to print from one subnet (loc_110) to the other subnet
(loc) where a printer server (192.168.111.5) is working.
My printer server is from the d-link company.
First in "/var/log/messages" was an entry that there was dropped
traffic from source 192.168.110.x port 721 to 192.168.111.5 port 515.
Ok, now I''ve created a rule,

Transparent Squid in DMZ
Hi,
I want forward port 21 and 443 to my squid. A simply rule (dnat) didnt
help me.
My http - port (only 80) will forwarded to my squid. It runs
fine. Here I have used the HowTo from Tom and the hints from
http://lartc.org/.
I want to do the same with port 21 as port 80.
My network:
Shorewall:
eth0 net (192.168.108.1)
eth1 dmz (192.168.109.1)
eth2 loc (192.168.110.1)
eth3 loc1

Dyndns
Hi,
I''ve a little problem, I hope so..
First a hint, I haven''t a static IP - Adress and so I used a dyndns
Provider.
In DMZ runs a sftp server. It should accessible from net. My router is
forwarding the traffic from port 22 to the machine in DMZ. Now, in
basic installation I have rfc1918-dropping configured by net
interface.
My problem:
If rfc1918 dropping is on I

params file
Hi,
could you tell me the correctly syntax to lists any ip adresses. For
example:
EXT1=192.168.111.239 192.168.215.40 and so on.
Must there be a ";" or a blank ?

Calling non-extension numbers issue
Hi everyone,
This is my first post, so apologies if I have not included all details
about the issue. I am using a Nokia e71 to connect to a corporate
asterisk server and am having issue with dialing. I can dial all
extensions and receive all types of incoming calls. I cannot however,
dial local phone numbers. When putting the service into debug, it
appears that the device does not enter

description below.
I made a script to test both tables. That mainly

Dual ISP routing and NAT problem
Hello newsgroup,
I hope somebody with more routing experience then me can help me with
the problem I have.
The setup is as described below. A dual internet provider routing,
multiple local area networks, and a dmz network with one public and one
private ip range.
I followed the instructions at lartc.org, and so far everything is working.

Intermittent failure
Hello.
I'm in need of some help to shed some light on a strange problem.
The box is running Samba 4.1.7 on FreeBSD 9.2/amd64 and I suspect
(though I'm not sure) all troubles started after the upgrade from 4.1.6.
The setup is quite simple: no AD, no LDAP, only one server.
A command as simple as "smbclient -U user //SERVER/SHARE", if fired up

Dear all,
I am trying to setup a replicated volume to serve (in a load-balanced
setup) static content. Since we are talking about small sized files
(thumbnails) that do not take too much space, one ideea is to set that
up in RAM (using /dev/shm mountpoint on CentOS).
The main problem is that if I define a replicated volume using
glusterfs, and I

Multiple SA in the same IPSec tunnel
Hi,
When a IPSec tunnel is established between two peers, I understand that the
"normal" situation is to have in a given moment two SAs, one for each
direction of the tunnel.
However, in one of my tunnels (peer P1 running GNU/Linux with setkey and
racoon; peer P2 is a Cisco router) there is a large number (around 19) of
SAs established (this has been observed in P1 with

Hello,
I came across an interesting problem in my home lab a few weeks ago as I'm
prepping for my RHCE exam using Michael Jang study guide. I've been at this
for days now, and I still can't wrap my head around how two or more virtual
networks in default NAT configuration are even allowed to communicate with
each other despite what the libvirt documentation said.
