Segfault on read.socket with long message
Thanks for the link.? Somehow the information about how to join the bugzilla site was not available at bugzilla and buried in the CRAN web site instructions on reporting bugs (which pointed me at Bugzilla and not the page you showed me). The example is pretty minimal.? I left the tracing statements (flog.trace()) and the toJSON, fromJSON in as I thought they might provide some context for

Segfault on read.socket with long message
Thanks for the report, but it is unlikely anyone would be able to help just based on this code fragment. We need a small and minimal but complete reproducible example. That example should not use any contributed packages (a contributed package may be corrupting memory, which may cause R to crash). It is easy to get a bugzilla account - please see https://www.r-project.org/bugs.html for more

R CMD check --force-biarch
I'm having problems getting R CMD check to work correctly on Windows 7 (64 bit) in a package that uses C code. What I want to do is to be able to pass the equivalent of the "--force-biarch" option to check, but this is only supported for INSTALL. Background: I'm writing a package (RNetica) which forms a link between R and a third-party library (Netica.dll). The vendor supplies

Decoding only a certain frame results in different values than when decoding the entire file
To make it complete, here is the code that I am using to encode a large file: int __stdcall SpxEncode(unsigned char* inBuf, unsigned char* outBuf, unsigned int inlen) { //char *testFile; //FILE *ftest; //testFile = "test"; //ftest = fopen(testFile, "wb"); //fwrite(inBuf,1,inlen,ftest); //take every 320 bytes //copy every short to float

[PATCH][next] vdpa/mlx5: fix memory allocation failure checks
From: Colin Ian King <colin.king at canonical.com> The memory allocation failure checking for in and out is currently checking if the pointers are valid rather than the contents of what they point to. Hence the null check on failed memory allocations is incorrect. Fix this by adding the missing indirection in the check. Also for the default case, just set the *in and *out to null as these

Getting subframe type=verbatim on 16 bit files
I'm using libFLACC++ and libFLAC and I think that I'm using the calls in the typical order (see code below). But every monoe or stereo file that I send thru I get files that are the same sze as the orginal wave files. Doing a flac -a on the flac files I see that I get: frame=9 blocksize=4608 sample_rate=8000 channels=1 channel_assignment=INDEPENDENT subframe=0

Decoding only a certain frame results in different values than when decoding the entire file
Sorry, it seems I have only replied to Lakhdar, not to the newsgroup. Below is my reply to Lakhdar, and I would like to make it more clear now, using some pseudo values for simplicity: I read bytes 1 to 124 from my encoded spx file. I decode themt and get the values: ---Frame 1---- -293 -8234 2134 17 ---Frame 2---- -9323 -732 189 2329 Both frames are just perfect as I need them. But now when I

[PATCH 0/3] virtio-net: inline header support
Thinking about Sasha's patches, we can reduce ring usage for virtio net small packets dramatically if we put virtio net header inline with the data. This can be done for free in case guest net stack allocated extra head room for the packet, and I don't see why would this have any downsides. Even though with my recent patches qemu no longer requires header to be the first s/g element, we

An alternate solution to: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2017-December/msg00035.html "[PATCH] v2v: -i vmx: Allow ssh URLs to use spaces." is to classify all URLs processed by libguestfs as either ordinary URLs or the special non-standard URLs that we use for things like ‘virt-v2v -i vmx’ and ‘guestfish --add’. For the non-standard URLs, provide a wrapper around
