update.packages(checkBuilt=TRUE) returns Error: invalid version specification NA in 2.9.0
I installed R-2.9.0 yesterday, and followed the instructions in the R for
Windows FAQ, 2.8 What's the best way to upgrade? It reads "run
update.packages(checkBuilt=TRUE, ask=FALSE) in the new R and then delete
anything left of the old installation." I did this but it returned an
error. It's the checkBuilt=TRUE which causes it, though I don't know why:

My forest plot is not fit to windows in R software
Dear Fahimeh
It would help if you also told us what package you are using as there
are several which perform forest plots. I assume it is meta.
Your plot is cropped on three side as far as I can see. What parameters
did you give to the call of the graphics device? What happens if you use
a different graphics format like pdf? Then we may be able to see where
the issue lies.

Thank you Michael,
Curves for each level of the factor sounds very interesting,
Do you have a suggestion how to plot them?
Thank you!

Issue calling MICE package
IIUC, this would be an isssue with MICE (or rather "mice"), which isn't Ole's. It could be a namespace issue, but it could also be that some start-up code is not executed if library() is bypasses (see .onAttach et al.).

Sometimes that message appears when using a CRAN mirror that is not up-to-date or has communication problems. Might also try another mirror.

Facing problem in installing the package named "methyAnalysis"
Dear Sir,
I have been using R for a long time. But recently I have faced a problem
when installing the Bioconductor package named "methyAnalysis". Firstly it
was require to update my older R (R version 3.4.3 (2017-11-30)) in to newer
version. That time I have also updated the RStudio software.

Issue calling MICE package
I want to call the mice function from the MICE package from my own package.
However I run into this issue, which can be reproduced on the command line:
mice::mice(airquality)#> Error in check.method(setup, data): The
following functions were not found: mice.impute.pmm, mice.impute.pmm
I have no problems when doing
library(mice)
mice(airquality)
Is this a bug or am I missing something?

help regarding r-project
I do not think anyone is going to be able to help you unless you can
provide a reproducible example with a clear account of what it dies and
what you expected it to do.

Problem with Rd2.tex tduring compilation
The error is that one of your documentation files is failing. Try
compiling each one separately with
R CMD Rd2pdf yourfilenamehere.Rd
and see what happens.
There is a list especially for package developers which might be better
in future.
