Stroring and extracting AICs from an ARIMA model using a nested loop
I am nowaware that I should not post this type of questions on this group. However, Iwould like to have some clarifications related to the response you've?alreadyprovided. The code you provided yields accurate results, however I still haveissues grasping the loop process in case 1 & 2. In case1,?the use of?"p+1" and "q+1" is still blurry tome? Likewise "0L"

But this is the R-devel mailing list. Please do *NOT* misuse it for R-help questions in the future: These should go to the R-help mailing

No subject
Hi, all. I'm new to rsync so please bear with me... I'm trying to back-up to a remote host (rsync locally works fine) & keep getting the below error messages. If I mount the remote host on my OS X box (I'm attempting to back-up my Debian boxes) the operation flows smoothly. I've upgraded my rsync version to the same as the remote host, chmod'd the permissions on the

[PATCH] ESX: Fix storage URL if storage has a snapshot
If an ESX guest has a snapshot, the path the libvirt driver gives us will look like: [yellow:storage1] RHEL4-X/RHEL4-X-000003.vmdk instead of: [yellow:storage1] RHEL4-X/RHEL4-X.vmdk The current path mangling code does take this into account. This change makes it use the current mechanism first, but try again after removing a '-\d+' suffix if it gets a 404. Trying twice should make it

AIC and BIC from arima()
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 My ultimate goal is to best fit time series by comparing AICs and BICs (as in Bayesian) from arima() and nnet(). I looked at the arima.R source code, but I am afraid I do not understand it. What I only miss really is the number of parameters p, where: AIC = n*log(S/n) + 2*p with S the squared residuals and n the number of observations. Can I get p

About multiple hosts with same hostname
Hello all I have a somewhat annoying problem with OpenSSH. Now, granted, it's certainly not a bug. I'm just wondering what the best course of action is. At work, we have multiple customers with machines named "fw0", "fs0", etc. This is all good, since it conforms to a standard naming scheme, so it's easier to administrate. However, when we go to our

Backup Suggestion on C7
Hi list, I'm building a backup server for 3 hosts (1 workstation, 2 server). I will use bacula to perform backups. The backup is performed on disks (2 x 3TB on mdraid mirror) and for each hosts I've created a logical volume with related size. This 3 hosts have different data size with different disk change rate. Each host must have a limited sized resource and a reserved space. If a

security bug or misconfiguration ?
Dear list, We are experiencing users unexpectedly accessing each others files. It happens when they try to access files that are called the same and which is located in an equal file structure under their login drive. Two other conditions need to be fulfilled: one of the users needs to have the file locked and both users needs to be logged into the same Citrix server(windows-2000). For instance

ESX - How to create a new domain
Hi, I've been trying to figure out how to create a new domain(create a new virtual machine) using the ESX driver. The documentation at http://libvirt.org/drvesx.html says: To define a new domain the driver converts the domain XML into a VMware VMX file and uploads it to a datastore known to the ESX server. Because multiple datastores may be known to an ESX server the driver needs to decide

Problem reading binaries created with fortran
Is it possible to read fortran binaries with R? I tried unsucessfully and my understanding is that fortran write binaries with leading and trailing bytes. I get numbers but not the right ones. Thanks ps: the binary I'm interested in reading is a MODFLOW output with a mix of character, double and integers. [[alternative HTML version deleted]]
