SUGGESTION: R Base Packages
Thank you Frederick for your comments: They are really well justified. > I think a "forum" or bulletin board system would be a detraction from the project and a distraction for the project leaders. Users have Stack Exchange - it's better than any forum we could create, and it > takes care of itself. An excellent idea would be to add in the R Project Webpage a link to RSeek,

SUGGESTION: R Base Packages
Hello! Thanks to Juan for his suggestions. I would like to voice my opinion for and against some of these. > o Add in Bugzilla an Area in order to request membership for bug reporting, which shall itself include another area to introduce a little dissertation for justifying "Why someone would like to be a member of Bugzilla" for being able to report proper bugs, and avoid spam.

Win32 gems for mongrel (0.3.18) and mongrel_service (0.3.1)
Hello Users!, Since the pre-release 0.3.18 (last week) Lot of things happen in ruby-land (check the DoS security bulletin, please). Anyway, the win32 folks being left on the side of the road, and cannot provide feedback of stability due lack of binaries for the latest releases. So, I managed to upload the pre-built gem to my host: http://www.mmediasys.com/releases/mongrel-0.3.18-mswin32.gem

Dovecot Bulletin
I'd like to revisit and old post if I may, will/does Dovecot support the old qpopper "Bulletin" ability? Basically I need a simple way of posting bulletins to all domain users. Qpopper maintained a bulletin db for each user and sent them the next bulletin in sequence. Thanks in advance Kevin

dovecot bulletins?
As a long term user of qpopper with bulletins, I'd like to know if the bulletin feature is planned for dovecot? I really miss bulletins :-), this is very convenient way of providing information to users. Best regards, MU

Graphical presentation of logistic regression
Hi, I wonder if anyone has written any code to implement the suggestions of Smart et al (2004) in the Bulletin of the Ecological Society of America for a new way of graphically presenting the results of logistic regression (see www.esapubs.org/bulletin/backissues/085-3/bulletinjuly2004_2column.htm#t ools1 for the full text)? I couldn't find anything relating to this sort of graphical

message-of-the-day feature?
For lack of a better name, we are interested in a feature where one could get a notice out to all Dovecot users as quickly as possible, possibly without going through an MTA even. Given a message and a list of userids we could certainly do a mailing on the MDA server itself going through both Postfix and Dovecot LDA. However, we were wondering what other options we might have in Dovecot. For

(PR#1289)
Dear all, I've found a bug report for R when installing it on an AIX5.1 system. There's a followup (number 4) that comments a segmentation fault on R when quitting "q()". I'm using a newer version of R but on the same operating system and I obtain the same error. There was a way to solve this problem? Best regards and thanks, --

Urgent! -- need suggestion
hi all, I am starting to learn ruby and using ruby on rails. I have one question. I want to create a webpage that has two sections. The right section has all the tags (stored in a MySQL table) and in the section I display websites related to selected tag. I am not sure how to do this as I have two different actions to be fired in every webpage. Any suggestion is most welcomed Regards,

I'm getting DNS not found errors from anything in NOAA.GOV. anyways, 'climate' refers to historical averages by location/month/week/date. presumably the API involved here was for current weather conditions

FARFON lives!
Some of you have been following our progress on http://farfon.convergence.com.pk as we blundered our way through the development of a low-cost ethernet IP phone that does IAX and augments the client options currently available for the kick-assterisk server. With help from the denizens of #asterisk and kind words of advice from Mr. Spencer and the rest of the gang ... we're proud to have

Clarification: Can Windows 'Network Drive' name be changed ?
This morning I placed a post on this mailing list as follows: In Windows Explorer, 'Network Drives' section, the Samba share I've set up is described as: share on 'Samba 3.0.14a-0.4-SUSE (Our_server_IP_Address)' (K:) Is there any way of configuring Samba to display something other than "Samba 3.0.14a-0.4-SUSE (Our_server_IP_Address)" as the Network Drive

wbinfo can not convert User names and Group name to S ID
Yep. We are dealing with once perfectly fine working 3.0.9 servers to erratic and weird behaved ones. We believe this is due to changes made my MS in http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/Bulletin/MS05-042.mspx but thus far have not been able to confirm. Commands like: net rpc join -S PDC -U <Admin> now return "no suitable server found" even though that is the same command

LineJACK Compatability
It would be nice if Digium updated the hardware compatibility list on asteriskpbx.org to indicate that the LineJACK can't be used for dialing out.
