xrealloc namespace conflict
I've done a bit more investigation into this issue. Here is my current understanding of the situation: 1. I have a package on CRAN (corpus-0.3.1) that passes tests on all platforms except for Linux. 2. My package defines a C function, "xrealloc", for internal use. 3. The libreadline library that R links to defines a different version of "xrealloc". 4. On Linux, when I

Change to r-devel warns on #pragma
A recent change to r-devel causes an R CMD check warning when a C file includes a "#pragma GCC diagnostic ignored" pragma: https://github.com/wch/r-source/commit/b76c8fd355a0f5b23d42aaf44a879cac0fc31fa4 . This causes the CRAN checks for the "corpus" package to emit a warning: https://www.r-project.org/nosvn/R.check/r-devel-linux-x86_64-fedora-clang/corpus-00check.html .

[PATCH]: sftp: Avoid paths beginning with "//"
Hi, the following patch has been suggested by Mark Bradshaw <bradshaw at staff.crosswalk.com>. The simple concatenation of filenames in sftp client and server results in creating filenames beginning with double slashes when the cwd is the root directory: cwd: "/bar/baz" file: "foo" cwd + "/" + file = "/bar/baz/foo" cwd: "/" file:

SFTP Status Bar..
This is the LAST version I plan on doing.. If I hear no feed back good or bad. Then I'll assume I've wasted my time on a feature that people whine about but don't care to try. This is against 3.0.2pX so it should be VERY easy for anyone to test. - Ben diff -ur openssh-3.0.2p1/misc.c openssh/misc.c --- openssh-3.0.2p1/misc.c Tue Jul 3 23:46:58 2001 +++ openssh/misc.c Wed Feb 6

null pointer dereference in krl.c?
Hi, In ssh_krl_from_blob(), krl.c:984, /* Record keys used to sign the KRL */ xrealloc(ca_used, nca_used + 1, sizeof(*ca_used)); ca_used[nca_used++] = key; The result of `xrealloc' is never assigned to `ca_used', which remains a null pointer. Will ca_used[...] crash?. Did I miss anything? Thanks. - xi

special latin1 do not print as glyphs in current devel on windows
Thank you!. My apologies again for not including the console output in my message before. I sent another e-mail with the output in the meantime, so it should be a bit clearer now, what I am seeing. In case I missed something, please let me know. Yes, I am using latin1 and cp1252 interchangebly here, mostly because Encoding() is reporting the encoding as "latin1". You presumed correctly

NGROUPS_MAX on Linux
Linux has just raised the NGROUPS_MAX limit from 32 to 64k. In doing an audit of various tools, openssh turned up as having incorrect groups handling. Almost no user-space apps really care about NGROUPS_MAX. A proposed patch (untested, since the CVS build won't compile on my RH box.. :-/) : What think? Fix for bug in arima function
There is currently a bug in the arima function. Namely, for arima models with differencing or seasonal differencing, the innovation variance estimator uses the wrong denominator whenever xreg is non-null. This is the case, for example, when fitting an ARIMA(p,1,q) model with a drift term (common in financial applications). I reported the bug (and a fix) at
